Default Clay Grot Shootin'

I was watching a game at local GW store, and they were joking about having a game where you have a certain number of men with guns and a grot is 'fired', and the troops each have a possibility to hit the grot.

You could have a selection of troops:

One man from a Troops/Fast Attack* Choice squad

One man from an Elites Squad

One man from a Heavy Supposrt Squad

The aim of the game would be to hit the most grots possible; there could be two grots fired and two dice rolled.

Its a basic thought but it could work for a fun game between mates or at a local store competition.

Tell me what you think

Is this just a dice rolling game based on the stats, or do you actually deploy the troops and play from there?

Honestly, a marine with a heavy bolter/grey knight with a psycannon might be the best bet.

Actually, for elites, a XV-8 would probably do pretty good, tricked out right.

Maugan's HQ, isn't he?

It'd be interesting if the guys had to be all from the same army. If so, I'd take vanilla marines...Hvy Bolters can be taken from all those slots, and no grot is gonna survive three heavy bolters.

Why take a heavy bolter when you could take an assult cannon. Chaos could as lo take 3 heavy bolters.

You could only use one weapon so the crisis wouldn't be able to do any fancy shooting, lol. :P

Both Eldar and Tau have pathfinders.
I would pick an Eldar Pathfinder or Dark Reaper (They're snipers aren't they?) to nail a clay, whether its actually agrot or not
