Default Big Book of Characters

Why So Serious recently gave me an idea (although I must admit, I'm stealing his idea really ) that I think deserves some further discussion.

Do you think GW should get together and compile a book just about Special Characters from decades past, ones that were dropped from codexes as the editions piled on. Ones like Brother Bethor, Bearer of the Sacred Standard (Dark Angels, 2nd Edition Codex), BJorn the Fell Handed, Doom Rider etc? They could even do a mini-fluff section on each as well, possibly even expanding it to include present day characters and expanding their background to boot

Do you think it'll be a good idea, or not and why?

I think it would be a good idea.
Provided they wrote some fluff and gave rules so that we could use them.

Yes, I would love to see something like that. I was so dissapointed when Lord Solar Macharius was taken out of the Imperial Guard and replaced with Creed, who is no comparison at all. I mean c'mon, a Imperial Guard character with a 3+ invulnerable save? Not even Yarrick can top that cause his forcefield is random.

You can help if you want . We're heading on for around 10 characters so far, and I don't have a clue what some of them had lol.
