Default Question on Difficult terrian

4 squads all in line, one next to the other and all in difficult terrian.

1. Can I roll the difficult terrian for alpha, bravo, charlie, delta then move alpha, bravo, charlie, delta?
2. Or do I roll for squad Alpha then move them, roll for squad Bravo then move them, roll for sqaud Charlie and etc...?

Wondering how it is done?

the answer is 2 you have to roll separately for each squad.

No. It goes "Unit A Rolls, Unit A Moves, unit B rolls, unit B moves... etc."

So it is 2.

To be honest, I've never seen anyone who had a problem with me rolling difficult terrain for multiple units as long as I a) marked the distance they rolled with a die and b) didn't try to weasel out of a low roll by saying something along the lines of "on second thought I'm not gonna go into the terrain"

Yeah, as long as you go through with what you rolled and don't change your mind, it should be fine with 1.

In a friendly game I doubt your opponent would say you can't do all the rolls and then the movement. It is not legal in a tournament game though.

Do this:

Squad 1 roll....4 inches (place dice next to squad)
Squad 2 roll....damn I got a 1 (place dice next to squad)

repeat until they are all rolled them move then

I don't think anyone will mind, unless it's some hardcore tournament.

As stated in a friendly game, few people should not mind. However, in a tourney I would require you to finish moving unit one first. The reason is that knowing how far each squad can move can and will effect your movement of each squad.
