Default Australian Daemon Pricing

Soup TO
After looking at the GW Australia online store I'm shocked to see that the boxed choas units eg bloodletters, or daemonettes are $35 rather then $50, which is the standard price. Why are daemon units $15 cheaper then the standard $50 price for boxed squads? Does this mean there might be an all round price drop in Australia?

Cheers

Daemons are cheaper everywhere. In the US they're $22 each, annoying seeing as our dollars are nearly the same.
Hopefully this means GW have come to their senses and are making everything a bit cheaper.

Yeah, from a certain online store I can pick them up at 9 per box (about $20). Not bad at all. That is after a 25% discount though.

Same reason you get only 10 space marines for 35 dollars and 20 gaunts for 35 dollars. The Daemons are meant to swarm the enemy, thus they are cheaper.

This is true. A lot of GW stuff is priced on points cost rather than material cost. Which is why GK Termie boxes cost so much, you can get a 145 base point model out of it...

17.5229 USD to be exact :P

Your pound is 'dropping' faster than our dollar.

Exactly, if everything cost the same, you would see people flooding to the armies that cost $250 to build up to standard, and the ones that cost $600 would die off

I also think the daemons themselves come with less bits to convert with, whereas other 40k kits come with assault weapons, extra heads, torsos etc, I think the daemons may just come with just enough heads and just enough of each body part to make the required number of models it says it does.

Mind telling me what store does 25% off? I could use me a bit of that discount.
