Default Smoke Launchers and Fleet

I was hoping I could get some insight into a rules clarification. Would it be possible to move, then fleet (In my case with a Defiler), then use smoke launchers?

RAW states smoke launchers may be used after completing move but doesnt directly refer to movement phase.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I'm pretty sure that you can fleet if you use smoke launchers as they only stop you from shooting. Also I'm pretty sure that you use smoke launchers after your move, rather than after all movement. So you use them after you've moved the Defiler in the movement phase. You'd then roll for fleet as normal.

Well I don't have the bible in front of me, but in our games smoke launchers are always declared after the vehicle moves, and since fleet is done during the shooting phase you cannot use them since the vehicle has already moved and used smoke.

So your basis is that because fleet is used in the shooting phase, and smoke launchers mean you can't shoot, your opinion would be that you can't use them?

I stand corrected. Apparently you can still fleet your defiler then.

Aye, and it be ME!

Ok, so, Fleet Replaces Shooting, correct? As does Smoke Launchers.

Now, Fleet is a shooting move, and Smoke Launchers are considered shooting.

So, you cannot fleet, and fire off smoke launchers in the same turn as they cancel each other out, due to conflicting rules.
