Default Helmeted army

Is it possible to make an entire army wearing helmets with the components in the boxes? I get irritated that once you get promoted in 40k, you forget how to wear a helmet. I know it serves as an easily identifiable rank marker, but I'll just paint a stripe on the helmet.

So...my question is.....can it be done?

I don't know which army? I am assuming Guard or Space Marines, and they come with enough heads for helmets in all the standard troop boxes, and Guard you can use Tank Commander Heads for officers or you can buy regular Officer blisters with helmets.

I think Tau and Eldar are the only armies which are fully helmeted. Maybe Space Marines, but I do not own the codex, so can't say for sure.

When I come to think of it, an IG army can potentially be fully helmeted (which it should be). From the normal Cadian range, the only model that doesn't have a helmet option is the weasel-of-a-Colonel model, which really doesn't have a place in the army. The classic Cadians, however, all had some form of headgear on, and the officers wore BDUs, just like their men. Nowadays, any rank above Captain seems to have a "Shoot me, I'm an officer!" vibe going on.

Real men fight in tanks!

Eldar, Tau, Marines, Chaos Marines, Guard, all of them contain all the bits you need on plastic frames to make fully helmeted models.

My brother's space marine sergeants are all helmeted-it doesn't seem to make sense that they expose their vulnerable heads in battle! It seems like that's perfectly fine, though we have only played with each other and haven't played at GW's, independent hobby stores, etc.

You can buy respirator heads from FW for IG.

My legions of SM are all helmeted, and what's more, I never use the beaky heads either. As a result, I tend not to have a supply of helmeted heads on hand, but I seem to get enough to make it work.

Now, if only the people I swap the piles of beaky helms to would remember to bring my regular ones in, I would have a stockpile.

Thanks. I just can't stand some guy just standing in the middle of a war zone, without a helmet.

now putting helmets on every tyranid or ork...lol.

I guess with chaos space marines it wouldn't be a really pressing problem...what with them being of chaos...
