Default Guessing Range

I have a Fragmentation discharger thingy and I am curious about its G18" range. What does G18" mean?

With guess range you have to place the template down before measuring. If the hole is within the range then it's okay and you roll for scatter as normal. If it isn't then the shot misses.

Although if you see

G?? - G??

The first value is your minimum range & the second value is your maximum range

I miss that about 3rd. Of course my opponents hated to play against me because I knew trig, and that helps to "guess" range when you have a reference point.

It was removed because of three reasons
A) Slow gits. It was a really pain in the butt when you had a player who took ages guessing. I mean it adds to the tension, but when your firing it every turn...
B) People were terribly accurate. I mean I've pulled off some great guesses in my past, but some people were so bad it was a major disadvantage.
C) Cheating. It was pretty easy to cheat with guess range weapons. You could use other units to act as a guide.

Is that really cheating? It is simply using all of the information at your disposal. The modern army uses things like this. Also remember you had to fire your guess weapons first. So you could not fire you heavy weapons next to it and then "guess".

But this might be a mini-highjack of the orginal thread.

No its not. I mean, its great to hear how all of you do the guessing and such. it helps me out the same time. Plus, it's very entertaining.

Wait, so to get rid of terribly accurate precision, they decided to get rid of it all together? That's stupid.
