Default anyone else here started to lose interest in the hobby?

recently i've been considering getting rid of my 40k. the only thing stopping me is the money spent and time taken up. that, and an army of IG coming to completion. i was wondering if anyhone else here was having the same thoughts.

Everyone has times when he is bored with 40K. I`ve actually stopped playing altogether for about one year or so, before the new Codex: Tau brought me back into the fold.
Just because 40K isn`t interesting for you right now doesn`t mean that you can`t be totally hooked again in six months.

So I`d advise against selling everything. Keep it in the shelf. Do some other stuff. Maybe after a couple of weeks doing something else, youŽll come back

Or you could try to explore other avenues of our hobby. if you haven`t played Combat Patrol, organise a little CP-fest at your local hobby store. If you haven`t played CoD, do so. Maybe a small campaign.

Cheers,
-Bone

well, recently i helped my local independant, they had a group of 10 year old coming with their 40k so i took two of my armies [combat patrol] and taught them to battle [IG beat SMurf, yay] and it was a good laugh, but there are times i think, do i really need this anymore? and it doesn't help that my dad complains about my 'toy soldiers'.
i am starting to enjoy paintying them, i'm getting better but i always seem to suffer the same problems in any aspect of this hobby... like not planning a model before sculpting... just little things that p### me off. well, thanks guys.

Actually I am in that kind of phase as well. I do not play often these days (one game a week as compared to 3-5 games a week) and the fact that I am now sick of playing my Mech Tau (which almost all my group of players and friends are sick of as well) and just starting to play with my Mech Death Guard, which gives the joys back to my friends as they are now able to assault (or in almost all instances, I charged into them first :P ). As for my Sisters of Battle, I am just waiting for my stuff to come in so that I can just finish them and them start my 'One-army-a-week' thing.

As for my WFB, well that one I will have to wait until the WFB is resurrected in my area once more.

To be honest, these days I prefer to make and paint single models for my own pleasure and play board games than playing 40K.

Its normal to lose interest if the game gets stale for one reason or another. I have not played in a couple months now because of my Rapier training. Warhammer just can not compete with something so physical, and much of the community for Warhammer is geared towards younger people these days. Hell, I know no other place were you can find a awesome fighting Mormon, who boots me booze
Also packing around a 42" blade is something you don't get an excuse to do in Warhammer.

Over all, if you lose interest in Warhammer, take a break, do something else, keep your army, and if you go back at anytime then good on ya.
