Hello space marine fans I am about to start a new army but i cant decide
between space marines or Imperial Guard

please give me advice

This should be in the General 40k mod.

But now I ask you this; which range of models interest you between Space marines and Imperial Guard? The one that you like most is the answer you seek.

Guard Perks:
-Numbers lots of Numbers
-Tanks Lots of Tanks
-lots of shots (i.e. very long shooting phase)
Guard Faults:
-poor armour and standard weapon (flashlight and shirt)
-suck in combat
-all 3's BS, WS, Str., and T

Marine Perks:
-good armour
-good weapons
-4's for most everything
-can do anything
Marnie Faults:
-lower #'s
-expensive models
-EVERYONE AND THEIR GRANDMOM PLAYS MARINES!

You may also want to consider Daemon Hunters or Witch Hunters. They can use guard or marines. My current Daemon hunter set up uses inducted Guard with a Death Watch Kill Team to fill in the marine role, but you can also Grey Knights. Both Daemon Hunters and Witch Hunters have very good wargear section, although I perfer the Daemon Hunters for the Pyscanon.

On the downside Grey Knights and Sisters of Battle only come in metal, and both books are rather old ( 3rd ed I believe ).
