Default Allocating Wounds

Im quite confused with a problem with models that choose who get the wound (vindicare temple assassins spring to mind) what happens if i have a model that allows ME to choose who takes the wound.
Who chooses who get the wound me or them
(sorry is there is bad grammar)

There is nothing to be confused of. Its a matter of having specialist units that have the ability to target everyone. If you have a model that allows you to select the wounds, then... tada, you select the models. The farseer mind war power is an example hereof. Then you simply pick one... The vindicare is another example, and both are quite extraordinaire.

To continue:

Normal firing at a Tactical Squad. You "kill" three models, and you opponent picks 3 meatshields.

Vindicare, or Farseer with the ability to allow you to choose. You kill one, and choose the Missile Launcher Marine to die.

I believe you even choose which one to shoot at. Which means, you specify a target before you roll to wound. Otherwise you could fx make him roll saves for the majority and then remove something better, ie his save is that of an ork boy, but you kill off the eavy armored nob. It dont work that way. You state you want to hit the nob, who then gets his save, using his T and his leadership, if applicable...

No not that i mean a Vindicare/Farseer allows you to choose the person who dies but Acolytes allow you to choose if the Acloyte takes the wound so who picks the Vindicare or the Acolyte

In this case I believe the Acolyte's rules override the vindicare's. The vindicare is allowed to pick out the inquisitor lord as far as having to take the hit, but the acolyte's rules allow ANY wound that would be applied to the inquisitor to instead apply to the acolyte. (It could be said that the vindicare mistook the acolyte for the inquisitor himself, or that the acolyte moved to cover his master).
