Default standard table size question. 6x4?

Standard question!

What is the standard size table (in inches) for 1000pt to 3000pt battles.
Also is it the same or different for tournament tables, if different what are the measurements.

Finally what size battle field do GW use for a standard game?

6x4 is usually a decent size for games ranging from 1500-2000 I find. Any larger games and I would go with a 4x8 or larger. 4x5 is pretty good for games smaller then 1500 points.

Standard size for smaller than 1500 is 4'x4', this can get a little crowded though in matches that are bigger than 1000 pts. Other than that, John Snow's dead on.

Yes, as everyone already said, 6x4 for 1.500 to 3.000 points.

4x4 is only explicitely mentioned for Combat Patrol and CoD Alpha and Gamma.

This is all great info.

But does anyone know the measurements in inches?

Cheers...

That is 4 feet by 6 feet in case anyone doesn't know.

And of course 48" x 48" is 4 feet by 4 feet.

I usually go with 6x4 for anything up to 2000pts, then above that it gets bumped up to 8x4 or even 8x6. Be careful about using excessively large tables as they tend to favour fast and/or shooty armies at the expense of others.

The apoc rulebook says that as a rough guide, 1 square foot per 100 points of models on the largest team is enough. That means 15 square feet in 1500 points (5' x 3&#39, 10 square feet in 1000 points (4' x 2.5&#39, 4 square feet in 400 points (2' x 2&#39.

Hmm. I think Jervis may have made a mistake.

I think he may have meant two feet of perimeter per 100 points of models on the largest team. In 1500 points there are 15 feet (10' x 5&#39 and 10 feet in 1000 points (6' x 4&#39 and 4 feet in 400 points (2' x 2&#39

hmm. I think I got it wrong.

I guess the answer is to use your own judgement.

I belive this depends, but its either 4'x4' or 4'x6'
1' = 12"

Id recomend 4'x4' UP to 1500p. If more, go 4'x6'.
What im saying is that you get evenly spread out on the table i have set up. Its not too crowded and not to thin...
