I've got all the rules for 1st Editition and 2nd Ed. personally I dont think they will release a version that is better than the complete rules for 1st ed (2nd Ed was pisspoor by comparison). They should just make the complete 1st Ed rules (including campaigns, deathwing and genestealer - the add ons) as a PDF.

My subtle diagram disagrees with you.
your "subtle" diagram contains Optimus Prime and Proffessor Farnsworth, it's heresy in it's own right!
Any similarities between your reality and mine are purely coincidental...

I still have my 1st ed rules and board pieces (pity I lost the genestealers - around 30 of them, plus hybrids when I moved house a while ago). Still, when a mate comes over with his bugs, we can play a few games of it instead of 40k.

Yeah I did the same, saved all the baord peices from 1st and 2nd ed. Lost the special whitedwarf ones though I've ended up with about 55 stealers because of it (now if various states of disrepair, but none unfixable)

So where did you see they were re-releasing Space Hulk ?

This was my first exposer to the 40K world back in 87, I still have both versions plus all the rule books for the expansions.

Did any one ever play the PC version of the game, it was a DOS file, I still have the game but lost the password to enter the program anyone have it or know it by chance ?

I wouldn't mind picking it up if it were re-released since I feel like I missed out on something great back then... Though since I was only 5 and live in the middle of freaking nowhere, it's not a surprise...

But on a related note, would using XV-8s instead of terminators be an feasible way of using Tau for a space hulk game, or would that end up being broken in favor of the genestealers?

Thats a pretty cool idea, (i dunno I don't mean to steal your thread here) The only problem I see would be their toughness compared to Terminators, you could arm them with Burst Cannons and Flamers plus give them Shield Generators, this might get them up to par to Terminators. Would have to take a look at the rules because it's been so long since I've played, will go and break them out and do some reading and post some more on them later.

They have Kill-Team based Space Hulk rules on the GW website.

Looks fun, but I don't have any genestealers.

Rereleasing? When?
