Default Napoleonic Warfare on the WH40k system

I've been thinking about it...

Muskets, massed bayonet charges, the role of cavalry and artillery, lack of vehicles.

Hello? Orks anyone? Imagine...

Orks with no vehicles. Convert bikes into horse-riders. Shootas are Heavy 1. Artillery gets +6" to range, and are pinning weapons, possibly.

Close Order drill (from Imp Guard) applies, making attacking in a line favorable.

Mmmmmm. Mmm. I love muskets.

Yes, I'm having problems visualizing an Ork in 18th century military uniforms...and I doubt they'd have the patience to reload a musket...

guard is the obvious choice

Heavy weapons platoon (represent naepoleons cannons and Gatling guns)
Iron Discipline (naepoleons army was elite and great)
Close Order Drill (no brainer)
Storm Troopers (to represent the dragoons or elite soldiers which he had many of)
Rough Riders (once again no brainer)

Okay......that's...dubious......could work.....not going to be straight-forward however...

OR you could just play fantasy or even better, one of the scores of games out there that are actually just based on the Napoleanic times.

I knew someone was going to be Imp Guard and I meant which army's rules, not models.

Imp Guard, I mean.... rapid fire lasguns? They usually just shot a few rounds and charged. Not very Imp Guardy.

You could modify the lasgun to heavy one or just use auto-guns
