Default Massive 40k wargame on PC

How many of you would like to see a PC game of 40k where the player controls vast forces under his command. Such forces might equal or better the fronts of WW2.

Seeing how an army plays at this level does not call for fancy graphics and animation. It would show how a real 40k campaign is fought. I would love to take GHAZKULL, MCCRAG or ABBADON how they should be played.

i wouldnt mind seeing EPIC played as a game. it is certainly on the scale you mention

but at the other end of the scale - inquisitor would make for an interesting video game if someone put enough effort into it

I always felt inquisitor might make a good Counter Strike sort of game. But I do mean even greater than epic. We are talking 250,000 troops or more to a unit.

I actually had a EPIC pc game, final liberation it was called and you had 4 armies and you could go up to 20'000 points That's per army. Anyway this was years ago so i doubt it's around anymore, which is a shame because it was one hell of a game, even if it's graphics aren't that good (by modern standards)

I wouldn't mind a game that touches closer to actual 40k. Dawn of War is a fun game, but I like the strategic elements only present in 40k. I would think that, in this day and age, it'd be easy to emulate 40k as a PC game. And besides, D&D is doing it with 4th Edition...

There has been some good tacticle games from 40k. But they have barely touched upon the true scale war. I AM TALKING of units more than 250,000 men. True warfare grand style.

So far we are talking local forces.

Final Liberation is abandonware and available at The Underdogs. Full download. Abandonware games fall into a grey area. Not sure what the site policy is on posting links like this because of that (in terms of GW IP etc).
