Mods, I don't really know where this belongs, sorry if that place isn't here.
Basically im trying to sell my old dark elf army on ebay, I was wondering if anyone had had previous experience selling Warhammer/40K armies on ebay, and if it's better to sell the entire army as one package - how often is somone wiling to spend over £100 in one go - or to put them up seperately. Anyone got any tips? Thanks Delvaurius

i would think this belongs in the trading section but maybe I'm wrong.
still in couldn't hurt to move it there because someone there might buy it before you even put it on ebay.

split it into separate units, unless the army is themed and very well painted and converted it will make more that way.
also, dont use ebays overpriced picture service, use one of the bazillion ones out there like allyoucanupload or image shack edit: there is a trading forum?!?!?

I would sell the units separately. People tend to get scared off with the huge army deals listed at a high price. I also recommend setting the intial bid very low. I usually start mine at 99 cents. It will build up quickly towards the end of the auction so don't get discouraged if you haven't received alot of bids right away.
I would only post the one free picture ebay allows unless you have some really nicely painted stuff you won't to show multiple pictures of. Between the ebay and paypal charges the fees can build up rather quickly so try and keep it simple to maximize the money you will receive. You may want to go look through the dark elf listing to get an idea of how much you will make. Don't go into it expecting to get all your money back because you won't. You can probably get 25-50% of the original cost if the models are in really good condition or if you have some rare or expensive units. |

Though I don't think you should expect to get a lot of money back from selling on eBay though... I mean doing a quick search to see what other poeple are selling at the moment, unless you have a big army, you're probably not even going to get back 40% of how much you spent on it all.
