Hm i like the whole sorcer ,wizard ,mage idea and am debating on what type of army to use.

I want a very small elite army of mages the only ones's that pop in my head are uthwe eldar and tzeench. Or mabe standard chaos with massive ammounts of psychic gifts.

anything else you guys can suggest?

Eldar and tzeentch are the best ones for an elite force of mages. I think tzeentch is better than an elite force of eldar though eldar is better overall if your looking for a balanced force.

Another option is to use the rules for a lost and the damned army, and give all your aspiring champions a load of gifts. The regular units are pretty cheap so you could build a balanced force. How does a dreaded chaos sorcerer commanding a warped mob of traitor skum strike you ?

I'ed perfer like 20 mages i may make a mage golem army out of

SeerCouncil Totally tooled up farseers with 2 powers each and tons of warlocks.

WraithGaurd as my elites

3 Wraith lords

Probably direavengers as my troops seeing as i can make something up about how they are the magi adept.

Tzeench chosen could be kind of cool.
use deamons as my troops

Or the golem tzeench army.
