There was an old project a while back to get together pixel art for all of the units in 40k, for use in maps and the like. Something like UN17's work, seen here http://herocomplex.info/WH40K/.

Some of us were thinking of starting this back up again. We need preferably Front and top views for as many units as possible, and maybe side views for vehicals, in that style (not animated of course). Artists who contribute will hopefully get a karma cookie or two.

First thing's first, though, I suppose we need a list of every unit in 40k

Anyway, is anyone interested in this project?

I'll have a go. I used to sprite Pokemon for a while, but fell out of it because I wasn't satisfied with any of my results. I'll do Tau, and maybe Tyranids or Necrons. :P

Anyone who knows the units for their army should go ahead and make a checklist. Anyone who wants to start go ahead, no point waiting to start getting the pictures.

I'll store anything people put up in a folder on my harddrive just in case imageshack fails or whatever, and so we can package it all easily as a .zip file if when we finish.
