[[[ So, here i go, Sept Kal'' Dath was born back in 2002, the Kraal' Q are older, and i am translating them into the 40k universe.

[[[ Sept Kal' Dath: I have a Made it myself Sept of Tau, a bunch of militaristic types, even their ethereals are radical in their view of what is best for the species, they clone Earth/fire/air caste, and have the view that "Extremism in defense of Tau is no vice"

Khadrovians: they left earth 10k years ago as they disagreed with the Ecclessiarchy and highlords as to what they did with the Emperor, and what they are still doing to him to this day! They use mostly ballistic weapons, Moisin rifles instead of las-rifles, and some use bullpup designs, known as AK-740's, and the Lascannon is the Coil-Gun, (Tau helped there), firing A.P.F.S.D.-Sabot rounds. only energy weapons are Meltas and Plasma. They have a strong belief in the Emperor, but believe he must be freed from the "Golden-Coffin"

Dragon's Errant, the Marine Legion that escorted the Khadrovians out to the Eastern Fringe, and dissappeared 10k years ago. They have a strong belief in the Emperor, but believe he must be freed from the "Golden-Coffin"

Kraal' Q, a strange race of 8-9st tall Lizards, Tails, long snouts, etc, who use what appear to be archaic CCW' that actually fire energy blasts at ranges out to 36" for their Longest range, and who have some odd mental ability to nullify enemy psykers or blast tanks and men with such energy. These were discovered by the Tau of Sept Kal' Dath and some Khadrovians in a joint exploratory operation. These Lizards appear to have other odd abilities as they are not confined to just one world, yet somehow get about w/o space fleets,,,

So, post your ideas here, if they happen to be anything of a variation on a theme, or better! totally unseen before!

For some reason I wanted to convert a daemonhnters army to look like cylons (i've been watchin Battlestar Galactica recently)

Have the GK as centurons, Inquisitorial Stormtroopers as the human traitors and the Inquisitor unit as the Flesh cylons and Blatar

[[[ This race and the worlds they were initially discovered on were found by a joint Tau-Khadrovian survey, Kal' Dath and The Konfederation were looking for new worlds to expand to, and the main world they first found was called by the natives as Kraal' Q' uan, and the peopel called themselves the Kraal' Q, after observing strange shows of mental powers, and due to their dragon like appearance, the Khadrovians called them Dragonwyrds. standing at about anywhere from 7" to 10" tall, and powerfully built, as well as preternaturally fast, these warriors of the newly discovered world showed the way they fight to their new guests as they had a natural enemy to fight, what were swords, halberds, clubs and spears began glowing, and then firing bolts of energy, energy comparable to boltguns, Plasma, and even Melta weapons. some of the Kraal'q were observed firing blasts mentally, killing troops, and even destroying a tank! another thing that was noted, was their Wyrds downgrading enemy psykers, a potent trick indeed! Others doing even stranger things!

Oddly enough, several other worlds were discovered with Kraal' Q there, and even a greeting of one of the Kraal' Q from the main world! Yet, when found, there were no signs the Kraal' Q even build ships! either they make vessels of incredible stealth, or something else worthy of investigation is going on here, all the Kraal' Q will say is some utterances of "Spirit-walks" or going "walk-abouts"

Even more surprising, since contact was made, many other worlds on the fringe have human colonies reporting holdings populated by large, bipedal lizards with ornate weapons and armor that fires energy before they charge into close combat where they fight like Marine Assault teams!

The energized swords of the Kraal' Q fire what is equal in power to stormbolters, and is powered with energy in close combat, they have halberd like weapons that fire like a warscythe, and in close combat are power weapons. another type fires plasma-like blasts from huge warclubs , they look like some odd Tetsubo weapon, and they carry swords at their hips. another type uses what appears to be bows, and they fire energy bolts similar in effect to Melta-weapons, but need to be close to get the full effect, if they move, it is like a melta-rifle, if they stay put, they can make it like a Multi-melta attack. and the Large war leaders have a most powerful array as they carry the sword, and then a Naginata like weapon that allows them a Plasma like attack,

War leaders also seem to have some odd powers. Mostly destructive, sometimes so potently defensive as to make them nigh unkillable.
The Wyrds,,,these crested ones can hurl enegies that can open tanks, or make the enemy psykers quail, they seem to play with reality, and bend it slightly to their will.

they usually have a few wyrds, and only units of 5-10 of each type ina warband, so they are not huge armies. They do apparently enjoy the chance to test themselves against worthy opponents, and count coup.

their ornate armor seems to provide the same level as carapace, Power armor, and even some cases of artificed armor of incredible quality.

One War-leader even sported a pair of huge blades that fired a blast when combined like a Las-cannon! One wonders what would happen if the entire race decided to go to total war!

This Fio-caste Anthropologist shudders at the though having seen their potency in person.

P.S. I am glad they like us, and look upon Tau as "Little-Brothers" and the Khadrovians seem to fascinate them as well! Some of our Kroot trackers and they kept distances between them the entire time! I wonder if the two races have clashed, or merely respected each other warily?

They do build homes, apparently, they are hard to spot at first with the naked eye, and even scans do not show them easily. their entire town was underground, and they exhibited some advanced techniques, as well as being sturdy as bunkers. Our engineers are busy learning what they can of these things, and are trying to understand the weapons, but they seem to require some mental ability to make them work, so the weapons are normal in the hands of regular beings, and this seemed to amuse the Kraal' Q as they made a sound deep in their throats that at first sounded like they were growling, but then their tongues were flopping around, and their tails were beating the ground,,,we later found found out they laugh in that manner...

The Psychic nature of the Kraal' Q seemed to make the Khadrovians nervous, and they muttered something about their SMERTZ not liking this.

We still have no idea as to how Kraal' Q travel from planet to planet!

The Kraal' Q remain a mystery.

Next: Kraal' Q Units, their name, how they are armed, and what the weapons and gear

I have recently started reading a bunch more World War 2 Materials, and being overall more interested in the subject than anything else :P I also learned that my Hobbytown sells kits that are just the right size, and less than $20!

Soviet, German, U.S., British and Italian Armored Companies, anyone?

[[[ There is no reason you have to have a Leman Russ or an equivalent tank LOOK like the GW one.

Star Wars theme has been done, SM and Tau, so why not IG?

Delaque are supposed to be wearing trench coats. But the right paint job, and they could be made to look lab-coat-ish!

I am currently creating my own DoW (dogs of war ala fantasy) style mercs list. Mostly because I like having radically different styles of troops in my armies and I'm kinda floaty when it comes to armies. (hey tau look cool, hey so do orks, hey, so do guard etc.) So I am contemplating making a merc codex with different races thrown in like Firesight firwarriors, kroot, tarellians, guard, orks etc. Mostly be Infantry based with light vehicles and expensive troop choices. (due to the fact they are better than normal run-of-the-line units statswise) No Leman Russes here and taking only the best from other armies and throwing it together and saying its a merc list. Still deciding on what to do exactly so any tips or people interested can throw some ideas my way.

[[[ Not sure what you can do for mercenary tanks, and transports, maybe find suitable Models in either 1/35th, or 1/48th scale?

The Kraal' Q show no signs of tank use.

As for me, I've been thinking of a Gundam One Year War theme army. Specifically Zeon since they had a larger variety of grunt units and the OYW had some of the most iconic grunts. Not sure what army I'd base it off of, but I know for sure it could be done, considering a while ago I saw a two codicies for Federation and Zeonic forces, been trying to find it again, but keep coming back to a bad LOTR website.

I guess if I based it off the Guard then the Infantry Platoon's would be Zaku's, a fast attack choice I'm not sure of yet would be Dom's, hardened veterans would be Gouf's, heavy weapons teams would probably be Gelgoog's with their beam rifles filling in for Lascannons and the Leman Russ would be replaced with the Magella Attack Tank.

Anyways the army I'm sure I'm going to do are going to be the Death Korps of Krieg. While I know they've official models, to me they feel too WW2-like, almost exactly like the Steel Legion. I'm going to have them wielding Kar98 lasguns with shortened chainswords for bayonets. The heavy bolter heavy weapon will be based on the Maxim machine gun, the autocannons will be light field guns. Not quite sure what will be done about the Lascannon and the Missile launcher, but the Leman Russ will be converted to look a little more like the A7V tank. In any case Fast Attack will probably be forgone, or Rough Riders at the very most. Krieg is supposed to specialize in trench warfare afterall.
