Default Isolated Generosity?

Ok, well I go to Games Workshop to play a few Tau vs. Necron games, and it turns out that the regional manager (i think) was there. So no big deal right? Wrong. A minute after I unpack, he yells "The person to bring me a painted Tau model gets a surprise". So I look around, and with no other Tau in sight, I casually walk up to him, show a Kroot and BAM he gives me a sprue with 3 XV25s and a markerlight drone. Has anyone else seen something like this happen? I was really surprised b/c xv25s aren't out in the states yet! And I was wondering if someone could tell me what this tan thing in the upper-right is: http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefr...008&orignav=10

That... is the positional relay. Check your codex for the rules.

Lucky guy. Still, I bet he was one over inventory or something. I do the same thing with extra Cotton Candy (The stuff clumps!) when I have a booth.

No it isn't. Firstly there is already a positional relay in the crisis commander box, secondly stealths cannot use special issue warger.

Well one time at a conflict we were told to make some more noise. All the encouagement someone nicknamed "Loud Howard" needs . So I start shouting the first thing that came into my head, which just happened to be something from the previous night's episode of Family Guy

"WAFFLES! Buy waffles!"

Some staffer walks up to me and says "Heres your damn waffles" and hurls a gaunt sprue at me.

I let a guy at gamesday borrow my inquisitor model, one of the staff memebers saw it and decided i was a good person so he gave a space marine tactical squad. and thus my infamous series of MEQ armies began.

The tan thing is an objective marker. For Loot or Rescue or something. Pretty cool

May, you guys are all pretty lucky! Slow down a bit so I can write this all down...

I went to my first Games Workshop in Barcelona, Spain. I asked a teller if the had an English Ogre Kingdom Army Book and the guy said no, and then gave me three Gnoblar sprues. My eyebrow took a trip to the stratosphere while I more asked than said "Thanks." I wasn’t ungrateful, just caught off guard.

To all of you suffering inflated prices, you're paying for my Gnoblars.

I think the only real act of generosity made towards me was by a Blood Angel player who admired that I was (then) the only Flesh Tearer player he'd ever seen...and he liked that I didn't just have another bland rhino-rushing Death Company army either...so he gave me a spare meltagunner of his because I lacked a model for an upcoming game.

I origionally assumed this was just from staffers, but I've actually been quite lucky to run into some very generous people over the years that werent GW staff

Back when I did dark elves in fantasy a guy gave me a bag of about $200 worth of old metal models for $2 (what I had in my pocket at the time )

People have given me bitz, sprues, models and etc in trades or for helping them with something (helping clean up for a party that day, or buying pizza or something)

A while back a guy have me a bag of the old nid gargoyle models. He then went into his car and handed me a bag of plastic guard bitz.
