Default Tabletop Model Scale Comparisons

I found this neat page that has a scale comparsion between the different models for tabletop games.

I am surprised that the Tau XV25 Stealth Suit is huge compared to the original XV15 and even to a normal Space Marine.

I'm not really fond of the model size they use for Space Marines. They're suppose to tower over normal people, and they only have like a millimeter on the Cadian. The Terminator is even worse, because despite having larger, bulkier armor, the actual Marine is significantly shorter than a normal Marine if you judge by the location of the head.

I pretty much disregard the models as far as fluff goes. /shrug

Better powergaming test? Ok:
1. Do you intend to win even if it might take the fun of the game away from either yourself or your opponent?

If you answered yes to question 1, you are in fact a power gamer, and your list is probably either beardy or you can abuse the rules to make it such.

However it does fill me with pride to see a Games Workshop dreadnought towering over every other model they put out, take that puny models.

That was quite interesting, I think the reason why the termies are shorter than everyone else is that they're hunched over. Like they're a hunchback, due to the enormity of the armor they wear that allows a (1+1) and up armor save.

But if Termie armour is so huge, wouldn't they still be a good bit taller than a Space Marine?

I don't think the termie is actually hunched, though it appears hunched. I think the back armor is just overlapping on top, thus giving the apperance of a hunched figure. Besides, if it was really hunched, the actually model should be leaning forward on the front, like a Necron.

The termies stand straight up, there's just so much STUFF in the suit (support systems and the like). The marine is actually standing straight up.

Imagine a modern warfighter with full gear. That's a TON of stuff to carry on your back. The terminator suit just puts it all where it's manageable.

Yeah, the scale on the Space Marines hasn't been great. Thing is they look so good you almost DON'T want to change the scale. Yes, I said it, and I'm not ashamed of it. I think the Space Marines look DAMN good.

The scale of a Space Marine is out of proportion. According to the background fluff a Space Marine is suppose to be taller than a normal human, yet the Space Marine model is the same size as an Imperial Guard.

The terminator armor is even worst, he looks a hunched over midget.

The only models that fair well in size are the Tau Crisis Suit and the Dreadnought.
