4x4 is ok for anything up to 1000 points a player for 2 players.

At more than that I like to use a 6x4 board, because 4x4 is just to restrictive.

I'm planning a small 4 1/2' X 2' Cityfight table... it should be fine, as Cityfight usaully allows you to cram a lot more models in than one would expect. And its going to have a river... and rivers automaticlly make a game fun, so, space should be a problem... I think orks can swim

At moy local hobby shop, I think its about 4' by 6or 8'. We usaully only use half anyways.

My club plays anything up to 1250 points on 4x4 tables.
Anything above that up to 2500 on 6x5 boards and then 2501+ on 6x6 boards

We often have multiplayer 500 point games on 5x6 boards.

I don't think that I've ever played on a board smaller than 6x4. although technically we did do a tournament where everyone had the same amount of points to make the best basic troop choice that they could. think it was about a 100 pts. for that one we played on a small table, but other than that.

i have a board that my brother and I made thats 4' by 4' that we use for under 1500 pts, and since he plays necrons we generally don't have a space issue. ;D

Any more points, though, and we move upstairs to the dining room table, which used to be an old compay one. You know, the cliche one with the boss at the end and all the subordinates around him. When we play here, we use half of the table, which gives us a 6' 5' table.
