Default Destroyable terrain?

Can types of terrain like buildings (i.e. towers) be destroyed? Can you, instead of attacking a unit with your heavy support, decide to blow the tower out? If there are enemies in a guard tower and you shoot at them does the tower fall? If I could find this out my games will become far more interesting.

Not really. There are bunkers that one can destroy(breach), but even then they remain on table.
Other terrain can not be effected.

However, I remember hearing a rumor (reserve salt just in case) that in the Cities of Death there would be rules for destroyable terrain. If someone has more information on this, please share, I found that interesting aspect.

It seems to me tanks should be able to shoot out the bases of towers but I guess the rules for something like that could get pretty complex, I see no ohter reason why it can't be done. But lets say my opponent does allow it, how would you judge the strength of the tower?

It sounds like a neat idea to be able to blow up terrain.

However if your opponent is ok with it you can easily make some house rules.

I'd suggest by giving the terrain and armour value, like a vehichle.

From there you could make some damage tables for it. I'd recomend looking at the damage table for castles in Warhammer Fantasy Siege battles for inspiriation.

Wow that actually helps alot, having something to base this on is gonna make it alot easier I'll make up a table and post it later and see what everyone thinks.

Small encampments fortified with sandbags, possibly a wall - AV 11, glancing and pen hits destroy, replace with rubble
Building, Pillboxes - AV 12, glaces on a 4+ destroy, pen hits destroy
Bunker - AV 13, glaces on a 6 destroy, pen hits Destroy
Castle or fortress (large) - AV 14, glance do nothing, pen on a 4+ destroy

In Imperial update 2005, there are castle walls and etc. Just my thoughts on it

My friend and i played around with the idea of interactable terain. such as a dreadnough lifting up a giant boulder and throwing it at a squad of chaos marines. Never got to doing anything about it though. I supose I could do something to that effect also. Sounds like some fun I may end up doing this.

Well, considering you'd probably do more damage by dropping a tower on them, than shooting them, you'd need to seriously consider the house rules for it.

A gargantuan squiggoth can destroy any terrain feature that fits under an ordnance template.

Those are just silly.

- A armored bunker has more armor then a tank.
- How would a rail cannon on a broad side destory a old building, it woud go right through.
- Structure points?
