Default 40k Olympics

hey guys i,v been thinking about starting a mini olimpc like campain and i need some fead back

each player uses the same army for each of the events and has only 500 pts

1 HQ (commposry)
2-6 troops
0-2 fast
0-1 eliet
0-1 heavy

the events are as follows

1. 40k ctf

each player has to camture a hostage from the center of the borad and get him back to there side of the borad

2. the baton realay

each player has to get a there own hostige from one side of the board to the other but if the unit that is taking the hostage dies another unit may pick him up but for ever turn the hostage is left alone he runs d6 back to his side

3. asanantation

basicly it is the fist player to kill the enomy HQ but the HQ must start on the board

4.king of the hill

there is a hill in the middile of the borad and for every turn you hold the hill without another enomy unit within 12" scors a piont and who ever has the most points at the end wins

5. the 100m sprint

one team has to get as many units as posibale to the other side of the borad while the enomy deploys on the left and right table sides to the other player

so what do u think

Serious: doesn't sound bad, could be a lot of fun. Nice to know I'm not the only person to come up with Capture the Flag for tabletop wargaming.

Not serious: damn, since WH40K is kind of a specialized hobby doesn't that make this the SPECIAL olympics?

So in the gambling stakes it would be the following:

Eldar 1/3
Dark Eldar 1/2
Speed Freaks 1/2
Space Marines 1/5
Chaos 1/4.5
Lost and the Damned 1/5
etc etc

Heh, I bet my Guard would do well...

"They're faster than us!"
"Ah, my good Sergeant, do you forget why we are called a 'SIGAFH' army?"
"What good is a feth-load of guns when speed is needed?"
"The ability, my good friend, to wipe everyone else off the table!"
"I bow to your wisdom, Colonel."
"Indeed... Guardsmen, fire at will!"

So Far it's pretty Good. Great Job, i had an idea for a race where you have to go around these for markers and do 5 laps of it, you have one model, and instead of moving you could use your turn to shoot an opposing player, you hit on a 3 and wound on a 3, all models have 1 wound, these rules can be modified for vehicles.

There are rules for chariot races in Warhammer fantasy, that I know of, maybe you could look at those and see if anyo ideas from them can help in deciding some finalised rules for the olympics.

Also interesting idea, hope it goes well.
