Has anyone ever heard of a Warhammer 40k garage sale? One of my friends( who doesn't play Warhammer 40k) mentioned that one of his old nextdoor neighbors might have one. he said that he had 7 cases filled to the brim with figures and tanks.

i have heard of people giving models away (that is how i started space wolves) but not a garage sale.

Hmmm... not enough players round these parts for a 40k garage sale. Though, I wonder if I can get my friend to give me his models since he doesn't seem interested anymore... hmmm.

Games Workshop deos usually hold an auction. Well, around me they do. Stuff is pretty cheap!

Yes, all the GW stores hold auctions aobut once or twice a year. It's a chance for the to get rid of old stock(usually models there have been new sculpts for) oold terrain, old model building bitz, bitz orders that have defaulted a year and also some of the older fully painted armies they have. i've seen some of the fully painted armies go for as much as $400, same with some of the better tables they have done. Really depends on who all wants it and how much cash they have.

On a diffrent note, they usually have a raffle for the old boxed armies they might have at the same time.

I scored the set in heavy weapons, with the kneeling legs, 12 full sprues, so 24 guardsmen, 15$ Canadian.
You should see my Armoured Fist squad. :funny:
