Default What makes YOUR army unique?

You've nearly all come across it. You've faced countless Blood Angel/Dark Angel/Ultramarine/etc army and they all look the same and more or less fight the same...

Well, I've started this topic to ask you guys what makes your army different from the rest of the pack. Maybe your Eldar army features no wraithlords or an avatar. Or maybe your Dark Eldar army is entirely composed of warriors...

However, don't limit it to choices that aren't routinely seen, it could also be that for every champion/independent character in the army all have the same gift/wargear/weapon etc. I tend to call such items of wargear trademark wargear for the army. I'll discuss what I feel makes my armies different from the norm below.

LORD ARNELL'S MINIONS
Base List: Chaos Space Marines, Khorne cult force (NOT WORLD EATERS!)
Trademark Wargear: Feel no pain
Paint scheme: Nothing out of the ordinary, red with gold trim.
Standard Conversions:
* Berserkers have flails, bolt pistols and chainaxes
* all Aspiring Champions for troop chocies have Juggernauts of Khorne

LORD ADUAL'S THOUSAND SONS
Still early days with my Tzeentch, I have only about 600 points
Base List: Chaos Space Marines, Tzeentchian cult force
Trademark Wargear: None
Paint scheme: Nothing out of the ordinary, deep blue with gold trim.
Standard Conversions:
* All Aspiring Champions have robes (I used Dark Angel models)
* Thrall wizards are DA Watchers in the Dark

CANONESS GEMIELS SLAANESH
Still early days with my Slaanesh, I have only about 550 points
Base List: Chaos Space Marines, Slaaneshi cult force
Trademark Wargear: None
Paint scheme: Purple marines with bright silver trims (highly polished trims)
Standard Conversions:
* All models armed with a bolt has a backup sword scabbard mounted on their backpack

LORD DAMIUS' PLAGUE MARINES
Base List: Chaos Space Marines, Nurgle cult force (not Death Guard)
Trademark Wargear: Nurgle's rot
Paint scheme: Base coat Bleached bone, Snot green wash, catachan green wash, bleached bone drybrush over top. Black shoulder packs, black face masks and black lower leg armour.
Standard Conversions:
* Sand glued onto models with a snot green wash over top to represent foaming cuts on the Nurgle Marines
* All Troop choices have a spawn attached to them.

My army is unique because I play Pure Demon hunters, no allies or inducted units

Lets see...

Necrons:
--I use pariahs
--I never use scarab swarms
--I rarely use the Monolith, and never field more than one.
--I always use Immortals
--I use wraiths more than destroyers.

Sisters of Battle:
--I use a force composed of pure sisters.
--I use Repentia.
--I use a Penitent engine.
--The majority of my force is Seraphim and Battle Sisters

My Tyranids have just been bought, so I can't field them until they are assembled

The color scheme of my Space Wolves is Mirthril Silver and Scaly Green.
I'm planning on using jet-packs instead of bikes...maybe...

...and finally, the Company emblem is equal to a 5-year-old's drawing of a wolf....(I can't paint symbols that good)

Hm, I usually put daemonic visage on my aspiring champions/HQ for my Nightlords army, since they're suppose to be the "masters of fear" and its pretty fluffy.

Also, I use the bathelms for my chosen/A.Cs/HQ

The Necrons sounds pretty unique, no special wargear issues with them (i.e. you never use the 2+ Invul save item of wargear) etc?

As for you SnipingRanger, thats a very good piece of trademark wargear you have there.

My fast+shooty Dark Eldar list is pretty unconventional. http://forums.tauonline.org/index.ph...6307#msg236307 Converted Haemonculi on jetbikes stand out as the most rarely seen. I made them from various plastic rider and Warrior parts, using smears of polystyrene cement to make the exposed skin parts all manky and warped.

The colour scheme is unusual too - I'm not a talented painter, so I just try to make up for it with cool colours. I have a black base armour with a very dark purple ink gloss glaze, so it looks kinda like a beetle carapace colour. Then trim is in metallic turquoise or green, depending on the unit. Lots of the cool barbed WHFB Dark Elf blades scattered through the army too. One of my Archon models is actually a converted Sorceress.

My WWP army was rather unconventional too at the start of 4th ed when I was using it, but their use has become more common now.

I've also got a handful of Grotesques knocked up from WHFB plastic Zombies and Warrior parts.

My Orks aren't anything special right now, but the planned Snakebite army will be - check it here if interested (last post especially): http://forums.tauonline.org/index.php?topic=18356.0

I actually have the 140 warrior dark eldar army. I have fielded 35 grotesques as well. I have tried most all DE configurations limited only by few wyches and raiders.
My tyranid force consist of nothing but termaguants and stealers from BfM sprues. A few warriors and viola!, seeding swarm.
