Hellooo,

So, I went to the forgeworld open day, was very interesting!

In the upcoming releases cabinets, there was some really cool raven guard stuff. Including:

New special character! Armed with a thunder hammer and a jump pack.

Raven guard squad upgrade kit! Beaky helmets, raven icons, torsos, shoulder pads, etc, for all the basic squads. Look awesome, not sure if they're coming in fives or tens.

Also a new space marine assault craft is in the works. They were keen to say it was NOT a storm raven model. They reckon it'll be something like a fast skimmer that can carry two ten man squads, or two five man squads. Not a combat vehicle, like a sort of space marine shuttle. The mock up looked like it had a lot of land speeder influences.

Unfortunately there are no pictures from me, because like an idiot i forgot to take my camera. But I'm obviously not making this up, and i did see it with my own eyes! haha.

Anyone also go and actually have the sense of mind to take pictures? Please share if so! ;D

I spoke to the Forgeworld guys at the GW Thank You Day for GCN volunteers back in December and they said then that their main issue was that no-one in the office could come to a communal decision on how they wanted it to look exactly. Glad to hear it's come on a bit further than that since.

So, is that the rumored blood angel transport flyer, that was chatnged into a FW model insteed of GW one? or am i wrong and both will exist?

If by rumoured blood angel transport flyer you mean storm raven, then no, they made a point of saying it was a completely seperate vehicle, with a different name etc. It apparently will feature in a later imperial armour volume. I don't think it'll be in the one soon to come out featuring raven guard, elysians and orks though.

If you meant something seperate to the storm raven anyway, then I have no idea, and you may well be right.

i meant the SM flyer (skimmer) transport, tantalus or whatever. as far as i knew it was rumored for the BA dex?

Dunno about that i'm afraid. With little else to do, i decided to do a rough drawing on paint of what the model at the open day looked like (this isn't exactly what it looks like, its just from memory)
