Default Baby Thunderhawk

Not sure if anyone has been following BoLS, but I think this might be a little interesting.

http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2010/...us-lander.html

Baby Thunderhawk.

Two Assault Cannons and a Twin Linked Forward facing weapon.

May hold 16 troops, 5 bikes, or 1 dread. Models with Jump packs may disembark and assault if the thing has moved less than 12".

What's that smell? Oh yeah. Codex Creep. I certainly hope this isn't true. Even if the damn thing is land raider like in cost (fat chance!), you still have what looks suspiciously like a flying Baal predator that could quite easily drop in and unload a full honour guard directly into HTH (with 50% more reach in doing it for more safety).

Maybe it will look better eventually. There wasn't much detail in it and since it is a WIP, it might end up looking a lot different. Of course if it doesn't get any better, you could always use it for a Battle Wagon...

Blood Crazed Bikers Driving out of a plane anyone?

I think ill buy a BA codex and sell every model i have now to make that army.

That would be the coolest thing ever.

(of course if the rules are any good )

For me, I am quite jaded with any new codex releases, since I tend to break their alleged cheese preety quickly, and if there is any cheese that survived the first initial 2 battles with me, then that is a true overpowered unit. So far, none did make the cut.

So bring on that Tantalus vehicle. I care not for its machinations, just that I break the myth of its strength.

It's really a good point here. Everyone complains about these so called cheeze units, but don't complain about much else except a few things on nerfed units and worthless units. But truth is that some units are the "neutral" ones and some are harder to use right and requires more tactics or luck, but can sometimes pay of. Some units are also harder to kill and are stronger than usual (and therefore easier to use...uhh...the whole SM army is a good example :P). It's just the same damn thing but oposite. Thing is that they can be killed if done right. There will ALWAYS be weaker and stronger units and will always be, ever and ever. So i think it's just dumb to call all the stronger units as cheezy units or broken units. As Crisis Vyper said, it isn't THAT hard to break the myth and destroy them. Now, i probably wasted my time writing this as the complaints will forever continue, but at least i got it said.

This almost sounds like the kind of thng a lead character would say to inspire a group :P and I may just sig it.

That blacked out picture looks almost like a Land raider with wings and a tail to me. :P

I'm going to hold my judgement 'til I see a finished model.

It will die just as easy as air cav. Ok not easy, but not world ending either.

My only complaint. Why does this 'baby' thunderhawk have better armor than a real thunderhawk? 13 on the front, the giant super heavy real thunderhawk is only a 12.

And I really hope it doesn't cost the same thing as a valkyrie which are already pretty cheap. If these well armored infantry caring skimmers w/ more firepower than predators keep getting cheaper than I expect predators to be dirt cheap... like 5pts more than a razorback cheap.. and the razorback and rhinos should be cheaper to. If I can get an armor 12 all the way around skimmer that holds 12 guys and has 3 twin linked lascannons for 130pts, why is a 13/11 vehicle that hols no one, moves half the speed, doesn't ignore terrain, and with less firepower cost 135pts?

All I can say is that when it comes time for chaos to get a new dex we want dreadclaws as our pretty flyer/skimmer since everyone else is getting one.
