I've got it first hand from the Fly Lords this is the new plastic Daemon Prince, despite what others might say about it being a converted metal Prince. A careful look at the model should be enough to see it's not the metal DP. :

It will contain bits to make either a Fantasy or 40k Prince as well as containing bits to make it dedicated to any of the 4 Chaos Gods.

I couldn't get a release date confirmation, only that it "might be out around Planetstrike." So take that for what you will.*

I like the new 40k variant in the Planetstrike pics, that's a beautiful model compared to the older shots we've seen so far. I may have to get two :P

Yeah, that does look cool, I think I will probably get one and put it in lists on special occasions or in big battles, nevertheless, it looks so much better than the current one, fantasy finally gets one and more importantly,

cheap is a strong word when you say it the same time as you talk about GW :P

anyways, i actually thought the fantasy one was out long ago :-\ but now that i think about it i never saw the release. so i guess it was just pushed back to finish the 40k bits, and the fantasy one had a early finish due to the chaos release.

i do like it alot in any case, the new 40k look looks WAY BETTER than that fantasy version's ugly face

I wouldn't count on it being cheaper at all. It will probably go up in price from the current one. $40 USD is what I've heard.

That's absolutely ridiculous. I'd be very aggravated if they bumped it up to that, there's absolutely no reason for it to be that high! $30 USD would seem reasonable, for GW. I mean, that's what the new Land Speeder Storm is at and that comes with 5 Scouts and a landspeeder. They could probably sell it for $25 even, same price as the two Spawn. But $40? A $5 increase even though they made it plastic instead of metal...?

That would not sit well with me... :-\

its because of the load of extra bits in the kit, that you still don't use :P

I...don't like it that much. I wasn't too stoked about the leaked pics from before, and these with the 40k specific bits don't particularly impress me, either. I like the metal 40k prince way more.

I'm a little depressed about the heads, especially. All of them that we've seen so far just look utterly stupid or really goofy/cartoony. I hope whoever they got sculpting this new Chaos stuff isn't going to be doing any Tau models.
