Well apparently the 20 black reaches that we ordered for standard restock' WILL NOT be delivered to us tomorrow, because unlike the rest of the goodies that shipped from Memphis TN inside the USA a few days ago, Black Reach is made in the UK only and they send a giant freight shipment to the us as needed.

Turns out that Tuesday the US Customs at some port (on the East coast I guess?) Decided that they would not clear them to be sent in.

I don't know if this was due to them being to busy to look at it, if it was a deliberate NO-GO on the container.

Either way I would not be surprised to see a complete shortage of black reaches in some stores this week and maybe the next.

We have 12 on hand :'(

So yeah that means next week we will be out of stock because you guys could buy these 12 in a heartbeat. I guess that we will get them shipped to us soon and have them in about 10 days time.Now I wish that we had ordered more then 20 because I'm sure 10 of them will be sold and in B/O status when they hit our loading dock!


Not as bad a story as when that boat sank in the Atlantic with the frieght container that had 10,000 land raiders in it! Who owns a submarine?

also - I am not sure what you ment, but GW is not any less or more intellegent from this - it was something with US customs officers... Gw deffinetly wanted it to get into the country

Also remember that i did say that there is no evidence of them Stopping it on purpose - it is more like the stuff just did not make it through, but for reasons unknown

You're reading more into this than there is. It's not like GW have been targeted by customs officials for bringing in tainted plastic toys or anything. GW's shipment got delayed and they are notifying their resellers that it may take some time before these items get to them.

Funny. I saw my first ad for high fructose corn syrup a week or so ago. The industry apparently feels it's important enough for them to try to shore up the image of the product.
