Default I have seen the 5th ed.

Basically. 5th ed keeps all of the basics in play. With alot of the details completely made over. New missions, 3 of to be precise.
Sieze ground

capture and control

and Annialation.

Their are now 3 ways to deploy your forces.
Pitched Battle: Long Edge

Dawn of War: Table Halves

Spearhead: Table quarters

True Line of Sight is totally Confirmed. Similar to how it worked in the older systems.

There is a summery of EVERY playable codex in the back of the book.

There are new rules governing terrain types.

Some universal rules have changed (eg Fleet) to fit with the new rules.

Run is Confirmed. (and in my oppinion is bloody awesome)

Rules for Ramming vehicles and walkers alike.

The Balistic skill 6 or higher rule is confirmed.

I really like this.

Does it give you statlines for all the codex entries and special rules that they have?

Is it more Rogue Trader-esque than 4th-ed?

Heheheh... :P

Anyways, I heard it's more focusing on troops, so that people'll all use horde armies...

Coul you explain wound allocation? It sounds very clunky as of the current rumours.

Anything else worthy to note The Broker? Is it better or worse then you thought? What other surprises are there?

Kill Team isn't in it, I know.

Instead, it'll be released in White Dwarf and maybe on the website..

there is an excellent summary of 5th in the latest WD folks. Also store copies abound and many of us have read through them.

I look forward to the challenges we face in the "time of ending" ^-^

Head over to the Wound Allocation thread.

It seems seriously bad. I don't mind rolling seperately for Special Weapons, but rolling for each seperate model is completely stupid.
