Default Warhammer Historical

I just got back from my IR and he told me about Games Workshop licensing out its Warhammer Historical range, and they should be coming out soon in a few months. The two armies that will be released first are the Celts and the Romans. If this is old news feel free to lock.

Ooh, sounds fun. If I had money, I'd get into that. Go Celts!

I've never understood this Warhammer Historical Battles. I've never read of it or heard of it in any official GW sources, and yet it's always related directly to Warhammer. Is it some branch of GW such as Black Library or Forge World? ???

Edit: Aha! Yay Wikipedia!

I haven't heard anything like this either. Though it would be great if it were true. I'm with you Geeky, go Celts ;D!

I did hear that they were doing a weekend [or something] on World War II. Saw that in White Dwarf.

I'm still trying to figure out what they mean by 'Celts'? Have they copped on to the fact that no group of people in ancient times ever went by that name? If they mean Gauls or Britons, then I'm in!

Yeah... they haven't yet. :P But they seem to be both peoples together... like Barbarians in general (even though Romans are Barbarians too in the original sense of the word...).

My friend plays this game. And it does have a small but loyal following over the many years the rules have been put out.

I hope for the best in this endeavor.
