Default WHFB 7th edition? (Very Unsure)

Howdey. I don't know if anybody here has heard otherwise or if I'm just miles behind in the rumours, but I was talking to a Red Shirt today (actually quite a cool and knowledable guy for an RS) and he let slip something about 7th edition for WHFB and tried to ;really badly; cover it up!

From what I gather and assume, it's something to do with 25years of the glorious game.

So, am I miles behind (if so, I appologise), being taken for a rather convicing joke or could there be some truth here?

IIRC this is 7th ED already. A next ED though? It wont happen for a fair while, they wouldnt do it so close to releasing a new ED for 40K.

Next up is Daemons [Fantasy and 40K], then Hordes is getting a re-write in WD. Then Dark Elves I think.

Yeah and the 6th edition isn't too old..

Though that didn't stop the 5th edition of 40k..

Actually Timjim as Veq pointed out they are currently on Warhammer 7th edition. It came out in September 2006, so like a year and a half. I still use the Bag I got from the gamers edition release.

It might be the special edition rulebook that's bundled with the rulebook from 1st ed? It's 100 and limited edition.

Crikey! This crazy clown causes commotion like the coming of Christ. Contained in a circle corrupted by crackheads and carnal cravings, he creates no concession to callous cheaters concentrating on nought but cock. Certainly, still a curious and cordial cavalier in the countenance of crazed cads, curs and creeps who condemn courtesy as something corny. No cloud could collapse his crushing crescendo of comical crowing and crimson coiffure. This conjecture on culture comes circumlocutive, consequently...

well, 7th edition for WHFB has been out, the leather bound Collecters rule book for 7th edition and the 25th year of Warhammer is out on the web, so nothing new there. Unless it was something else about 7th eidition that hasnt been announced yet.
