Default 5th Edition Starter box set

There are alot of rumors flying around about the contents of the 5th edition starter set. From what has been said from several sources the contents of the box are massive.

From most accounts the box will include the following:

Space Marines:

Commander

Tactical squad(s)

Terminator Squad

Dreadnought

Orks:

Warboss

Ork boyz

Grotz

3 Deff Koptas

All items will be plastic but will be similar to the snap fit Marines from BoM.

The box is rumored to cost around $100, whether or not it includes the full rulebook or a smaller version like BoM, I don't know but I would assume it isn't the full rulebook and simply contains the core rules.

Terminators? Seems overkill for a little starter package.

$100? Are they trying to scare people away?

<mimicking dr Gregory house.>

Yeah, but if people knew that there were terminators, 100$ would be nothing. For gods sake,...there terminators man.

The battle seems to be in favor of the Space marines, unless if there was a deff dread (or at least a killa kan!)

EDIT: $100!? This is a sign that the 5th edition is going to be screwy.

I have heard from some that a Deff Dread may be included too but nothing really conclusive. Basically it's going to be nearly 1,000 points per army. Keep in mind these models aren't the same versions you get in standard box sets. They will be snap fit, easy to assembled versions of the units. So that makes up for the large amount of models included. Apparently it's right around the same size of the BfSP box for Fanatasy.

No word on the terrain included but I'll post it as I read it.

My question is - when are they releasing the plastic grots and deff koptas?

I do not believe this is correct at all.
I think it is more realistic that everything that is found in the "Rinn's World" article of the latest White Dwarf will be what you find there instead.

The current set is 50, which is $100...

Or is it 40/$80? Even if it is, it definitely *used* to be 50.

Actually, the price for the Battle of Macragge box set just increased from $45 to $50. Not sure where GW got its exchange rates from.
