Looks like a shadowsword, this seems odd. Wouldn't releasing a conversion kit like that cut into Shadowsword sales?

so what your saying is that oven cleaner can remove paint from plastic models? and after that, you take a toothbrush to your plastic model, and the paint just comes off?

Sorry, the sign's cut off by minis and backwords. It's a bit difficult to read.

I suppose a Shadowsword conversion kit is only fair. After including components for the Hellhammer with the Baneblade kit, it'd only make sense to add an option for the ultimate answer in tank-killing as well.

Could be a conversion kit by Forgeworld to make the Baneblade into a Shadowsword? Then GW wouldn't been infringing on FW's territory any more than it already has.

Ahhh, but certainly FW will be able to sell this at a lower price than their shadowsword kit. Lower price=more customers. And if the increase in sales more than makes up for the lower price, then FW makes money AND has more happy customers. Plus, some clever modellers may buy the baneblade kit, and the shadowsword conversion kit and magnetize it so they can have either tank in their army depending on their mood.

All in all I reckon this is a pretty good move for FW. Although I hope they still continue to produce that lovely model with interior detailing as a sort of "premium quality" version in order to satisfy the complete tread heads

But then why bother buying the Baneblade and a Conversion kit? Why not just buy the actual Shadowsword. Besides, why would Forge World do that? Surely it would be more expensive buying a basic Baneblade and a conversion kit, rather than buying the actual model you're wanting to convert. Strange. :-\

Depends on the price, the actual Shadowsword is what ~140? The conversion kit might be as little as 30-40 knocking the same against off the cost of the old model - I think its not unreasonable to assume they'll discontinue the olds models.
