OKokokokokoko. I was checking the news part of Gw website, and I looked at da previews, and there was a drawing of an Eldar like character, with a DE warrior like helmet, pointed with blades, and he had two scythes held in his hands, crossed over his chest. Are dark eldar coming back?

Thats an old picture, but anice one nevertheless.
The rumour with Dark Eldar/Craftworld Eldar/Harlequins/Exodites is that they will all be getting a single massive codex representing the entire eldar species. This is rumoured to be coming out this year, but more than that, I couldn't say.

Hmm, actually everything that I ahve heard suggest Eldar probably aren't going to make it till spring 2006. Then again, GW it seems has tightend up it's rumour mill. Event eh store staff are frustrated because they are hearing less then they use to.

If/when that Codex does come out I'll be willing to trade my legs for it. Figuratively speaking.

The rumour about all Eldar being in one Codex has been dubunked repeatedly by several GW Game Devs. Even the first time it was mentioned as a possibility, it was said to be, quote, "extremely unlikely". Naturally, people took this to mean 'Gospel truth' and spread it around as if it were fact, hence the large numbers of people who now believe it.

Very recently, about a month ago in fact, Gav Thorpe had this to say about the Dark Eldar's future:

"The main thrust will be giving them a full size Codex that allows us to explore more of their history and nature. We worked out quite a bit of detail last time around, but the size and style of the early 3rd edition Codexes precluded us from being able to publish much of it. Really, it's more detail on the Fall, the founding of Commoragh, the evolution of the sects (such as the Haemonculi and Wyches), as well as the disturbing nature of the Mandrakes and Scourges (which are supposed to be a lot darker than they are currently presented).

As for the playing style, I would expect them to retain the dynamic they have - fast, fragile and deadly. Without having reviewed the current list in detail yet, we can't point to any specific areas that need revision, although I suspect the most obvious ones have already been widely discussed on the 'net."

i've got a friend who plays de; he says that they pulled all the DE models off the shelves... i think winter '05 was when he said he was told they would be coming back

They were moved to mail order, but as yet ther is nothing on when DE will be back on shelves if at all. They aren't discontinued, but they so far have nothing to say they are moving forward either. As said, not much beyonf this spring is discussed or leaked so we really ahve no clue which will be comming out this winter. So far the big contenders are either the Black Templars stand alone or the Eldar codex. Till about August I don't think we're going to hear for sure.
