Default Part 2 of the new un-codex

Well, I talked to the guy at my hobby shop who knows the guy with the copied version of the "New Codex" He laughed when I told him all the responses to what I posted in the thread "Remember the rumors of Tau being unstopable..." He says he might have mixed up there not being an O'Shova with their not being an Aun'shi, but he's sticking to his story for the rest of it (Dolphin, rail rifles on shas'las). He laughed again at the Air Bursting Frag Projector and the thought of having 7 in an Enclave army. He confirmed the special rules of the "Space Pope." He seems to think the codex is real. He says "Just wait until the new codex comes out. Then the people on [Tau Online] will all go 'Wow! You were right all along!'" In which case I will take ful credit for having unshakeable faith in this codex (and +1 karma?). He added in "You won't get kicked off [Tau Online] if I'm wrong, will you?" Anyway, I will be getting my hands on a copy sometime this week or next and bring you part 3.

I'm sorry... but you will just have to wait for May. Fireblade is very reliable, and Brimstone says what he says.

Karma comes from doing good. I wouldn't place unshakable faith in this codex...

Ditto! As of yesterday though, I'm in the same position as them with not being able to say much with regards to the new codex..

I can tell you though, theres no such thing as a Dolphin in the New Codex. I think he may have got rail rifles and carbines confused (unsure whether you can have full squads with carbines). Though I stick with what I said, any info there that wasn't stating the obvious is wrong (right = skimmers can only be glanced if they move over 6" - thats in the core rules anyway, and that crisis suit variants stay forgeworld).

I wouldn't be COMPLETELY surprised if team leader Fire Warriors were allowed to take rail rifles.

Other than that...

I would LOVE for warrior squads to take carbines fully.

You should have answered that if what you say proves untrue, you'll be banned from the site forever. I seriously think he's pulling your leg, and reckon he'd capitulate and tell you the truth if he thought it might get you in serious trouble.

The problem is, if it is a fake then I'm almost sure he's not in on it.* Apperantly a GW store employee was allowed to see a copy.* Then the person with the copy had to leave for a while, so the GW person illegally copied it.* Then the person at my local Hobby shop who knows the GW guy was shown the illegal copy of the codex.* And now I'm telling you about it.* He wouldn't tell me what he thought to be false out of fear of me not buying as much or simply going to another store (There's 3 in a 15 min. drive.)

If I did do that, he'd just say "Well, better deny everything just incase." Not many people would actually buckle down. Plus, there was no sign of him lying (Sweating, figity, no eye contact, rapid speech, ect.).

Well there always is the possiblity of the, "Hey lets make up stuff and make a 'codex'" and give copy's so people dont leak too much and what they do will be wrong. And they all had a merry chuckle. Then again it could all be true and you can tell everyone 'Told ya so'.

corperations don't do the merry chuckle- in all liklyhood they did it to find the leaks, currently i know of two which have been busted in the past. one for EoT the other for the initial Tau release. people get fired, money is made- then they get the insidios chuckle
