About to start a new Daemon army.

Just wondering if you could give me some insight of the best daemon combo's....

I orginally (and still do) prefer Khorne with a few Tzeentchi units. Those Khorne models look great. I'm about to run a Khornate-Tzeentchian list on the army list board...

Indeed, or the God you like the background of most.

I would myself restrict myself to a pure Tzeentch army beecause Tzeentch is my Ta'uk'me favorite god, Though if I were to ally it would be with Slannesh, due to the rivalries GW sort of mention but game wise ignore.


So Tzeentch hates Nurgle
Nurgle hates Tzeentch
Khorne is distrustful of Tzeentch and is rivals with Slannesh
Whilst Slannesh 'loves' everything he/she/it is rivals with Khorne

Khorne is fluff wise the strongest god, But Tzeentch is the most influential when necessary.

From a play perspective, I've found Khorne and Tzeentch to have the best units, and ironically to combine the best. Go Kheentch!

Tzeentch would only ally with Khorne to be amused by Khornes inbred stupidity.

Khorne = Dim witted, un-imaginative grunt.

Tzeentch = Omnipotent deity of cunning, guile, imagination and creativity.
Slaanesh = Deceptive, peverse, self-serving deity ever seeking new methods to cause pleasure and pain.
Nurgle = An Obsessive compulsive bio-technician, who is so carried away with his little hobby he forgot to wash.

I imagine Tzeentch, Slaanesh and Nurgle all hang out humiliating Khorne at the Daemon Happy hour, Khorne hasn't come up with anything more creative than his Icon and Axes since the start of infinity.

That sounds like Army bashing to me. And as I play Khorne (CSM though) I take some offence to that.

The four Chaos Gods represent fears or desires of man that they feed off of. Khorne definitely has his place amongst the Gods. Although, I don't play a Khorne army I see the appeal there.

I'd appreciate that you would give the same respect other people give you about your army of choice. Just because you don't prefer it doesn't make it bad or unimaginative. Your comment was borderline army bashing.

I'll ask you politely this time to respect other people's interest in their armies. Blanket statements such as yours serve no purpose in a productive discussion. Please keep this in mind in the future as I will not be as lenient if it happens again.

I went Khorne and Tzeentch. Right now I run pure Khorne, but plan on some Tzeentch units (Screamers for anti-tank mainly).

For purely gameing reasons, I think they work best together. Second I believe would be Nurgle-Khorne.

With Khorne-Tzeentch you have the awesome hitting CC power of Khorne, with the shooty-ness of Tzeentch. The Horrors sit back and hold objectives while Khorne surges forward to take the enemy's objectives. And in Nurgle-Khorne you have units that just wont die to hold objectives while Khorne fills the same roll as above.

As my favourite models are the Khorne ones and I need some "shooty" units for support, i've gone with Khorne/Tzeentch.

Could some of you check out my list on the chaos child board (1500pts Khorne/tzeentch daemon army) and review it thanks..
