Default Feel no pain?

A small question.
I've heard a lot of people say that ap1 and 2 ignore feel no pain saves in the new 5th edition rules. However, I've read trough a display version of the 5th edition rulebook, and couldn't find it anywhere. Did I miss it somewhere? 'cause I'm quite sure I read through the "feel no pain" special rule withouth missing anyway.

Can anyone give clear this up not based on rumours?

greetz,

JeZuZ

When I was reading the book I checked it specifically because it's a big effect on my army. I believe it's in the FNP special rule entry and says something to the effect of "weapons with AP2 or less and weapons that ignore armor saves, ignore Feel No Pain." I'm paraphrasing but I did read it in the new rules.

That's a very important note. As well as weapons that would instakill the model with FNP (not that mostweapons can on Nurgle units).

Well, technically nothing can be instagib'd in the Daemon Book anyway...

Would that make any difference to the rule? Can you get FNP against a strength 10 weapon that is somehow AP3 or worse?

AP 3 would still allow FNP if the char with it had thoughness 6, Nurgle bikers comes to mind there. I was pointing out that specifically close combat weapons that ignore armor get the benefit as well as insta-killing weapons and AP1 and/or 2 weapons.

Except that nurgle troops (and other bikers) always count as T4 for insta kill, that's why they have a toughness characteristic of 4(5) or 4(6) for nurgle bikers!

You can't use feel no pain against wounds from AP1 or AP2 weapons, power weapons, any weapon that causes instant death to the model (via STR or special rule) even if the model is an eternal warrior (the new book is very specific about this), or ANY other type of wound that ignores armour saves! I have a copy of the new book so this is all correct!

I am 97% sure it's a CC weapon that ignores saves.

In 4th ed it was but in 5th its ANY wound that allows no save and includes perils of the warp and failed dangerous terrain tests (it gives good examples in the new book)!

Okay...so is there anything then with a 2+ save that would have FNP? Otherwise AP3 can be considered that way too.
