Default Chaos Droppod question.

Do we actually have drop pods that we can use(like SM drop pods) because in the fluff for my army(steel brethren) its says we use drop pods and transports extensively so I am looking in on the drop pods option thanks in advance

We do, they are called Dreadclaws. I know that there are rules for them in Imperial Armour. i just have Imperial Armour Apocalypse and they have rules for Dreadclaws, but i know another Imperial Armour has rules for them as well.

The new Apocalypse Reload book coming out supposedly has a bunch of datasheets from Imperial Armor: Apocalypse as well, so you may luck out and get the Dreadclaw option in there. Worst case scenario, use the same rules as loyalist drop pods. In a friendly gaming group, I can't see many people having a problem with that, or you could even Proxy your Iron Warriors as Space Marines (they are undivided, right?) and use the Marine army list for drop pods.

well i talked to my gaming group and there pissy about me getting drop pods and said that since its imperial armour your opponent gets to say whether or not you get to play using those rules and said no so i guess thats out( and @ sionnach there steel brethren not iron warriors :P pg 24 of chaos codex) i run a slight cooler looking variation.

The Dreadclaw is different from the loyalist Drop Pod. While I cannot discuss rule here I will tell you thats it's basicly the same but, with a chaos twist that makes it worth it's increased cost.

Maybe you could tell your gaming group about it, when/ if you get it's rules.

My mistake :P sorry, I was tired this morning. I still recommend that you make a standard "Chaos" army list, and then take the Marine codex and make another list based entirely on drop pod assault. Sure, it wouldn't be as Chaos-y but you wouldn't use it for every game, only when you wanted to switch your games up a little.

Dude... chaos with Drop Pods..... hmm.... the Iron Warriors would have them, wouldn't they, just like they have Vindicators and huge fleets of starships, right?
