god, imagine that in wholesale prices <drools...>

I would consider making a khorne daemon army, just because they were smart about this.

I mean khorne must be popular according to GW. They throw 12 berzerkers for 30$ but the others are 35-45% and have a quarter less.

now they throw 10 bloodletters for 22$. This was indeed a wise move...these buggers are very nice looking, and appears to have double barrel potential.

$35 AU for bloodletters...the different dollars are almost equal now...
GW should really stop messing with AU Prices.
Can't see the defiler-thing on the online store...

Wait Wait, $85 for a greater daemon...may not be that cheap to play daemons.

Urk, I see why they are $22... :-X They look terrible, I can't believe that's a W40 army. They look ludicrous.

I guess everyone's entitled to their opinion... The new daemon models are awesome. They're going back to the roots and in a good way. These Bloodletters are the best sculpts they've done for Khorne, IMO. I'm not sure what you find terrible; the cheap price, customization due to plastic, and quality sculpts obviously makes a bad box set. ???

The soulgrinder is $50? The regular defiler is $55 and it doesn't come with the cool-looking demon torso and extra claws.

And the greater demons seem to have dropped in price, I remember them being $50 before.

What IS the deal with the soulgrinder, anyway? Obviously it's an unbound defiler, but what did it do, break free and tell the CSM to go to hell?

I'm in total agreement with Cadaver, why do you dislike the new models so much? They're at a reasonable price, and they are the hottest models I've seen to date. :-\

That's because of how they're painted... :

I'm not entirely sure if keeping this thread open is a wise idea, it's generating some negative posting and I most certainley do not want this to become a Daemon Rant topic. I'll be watching...

Naw, it's the fluff. Or lack thereof. They are totally out of place and look it. Demons summoned in a Chaos list I can stomach, possessed Marines okay, but an entire list of gribblies that just summon themselves and have chainswords?

Pfeh, it's a lukewarm idea for Warhammer and a terrible one for Warhammer 40,000. They could at least make an effort with fluff... Emperor knows how, but they could try.

Errrr... not to mention that Dæmonhunters are basically the worst army around to deal with them. All their dæmonhunting powers don't work on the new dæmons. Like they said about the famous song, "Dude, that's not 'ironic'. That just sucks."

Addendum: yes, they are great sculpts. No argument. And cheap, and I love plastics.

Second Addendum: I think the models should stay. The lists should go away, these sculpts belong with Chaos Space Marines and Chaos militia and guard units, not on their own.

Your posting is inappropriate and bordering flame baiting, plus you have no evidence to support your statements. Smote - Anton.

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say? Have you seen the Codex in person? Or is this just the Daemon related fluff in general? Because if so they're most certainly isn't a shortage on Daemon related literature, take Liber Chaotica for example, it covers every single god and it's minions, both daemonic and mortal. And I don't think a Daemon army is a terrible idea, heck they have as much power and claim in the WHFB and 40k universe than the mortal armies of Chaos do. Although I would have preferred a LatD codex, a Daemon Codex is just as intresting and looks like good fun as well.

That's because the Daemonhunters Codex is relatively old, and at the time of it's development I don't think the GW design team anticipated a 'Daemon Only' codex. And please take it easy on the GW slander, I won't tolerate it on this board.
