Default How are Chaos Space Marines Made
hey all

I was just reading through Index Astartes about how space marines are made and i was wondering if anyone actually knew how Fabious Bile makes the new Chaos Space Marines.

I thought i'd come right to the source.

Uhhh...........sort of..... Bile altered the brain chemistry of the Emperor's children and he does help new traitor leigons gain 'recruits'. Hes more of like a frankenstein character. He turns unwilling (or unwilling) experiments into violent monsters. But he hasn't created every single new CSM.

Personally, I feel that new CSMs are created by getting touched by chaos. Say you have an average joe space marine. He stumbles on a chaos artifact, it is so powerful that keeps it for himself and it corrupts him from the inside. If the codex is doing anything right, its going to hammer more on the traitor marines, marines that have succumb to chaos. not 10,000 year old vetrans of evil.

loads of different ways, Bile isnt the only one who can make new ones, recruitment still happens from worthy cultists (yes the promise of immortality ss partly truthful) from using daemons to help create them, or bile or another apothecary/chirugeon the gods keep alive those with promise but the recruitment happens like a normal astartes recruitment without a few things like hypnotherapy of undying loyalty to the emperor
