Default aspiring commander phez's attack force - 500 pts

Aspiring champion phez, mark of khorne, master crafted power fist, bolt pistol, daemonic armour, spiky bits, daemonic aura, bionics, melta bombs
103 pts

15 traitors, flamer, agitator, power fist, (phez goes here)
148 pts

5 traitors, flamer, agitator w/ bionic arm (power fist)
68 pts

5 traitors, flamer, agitator w/ power weapon and melta bombs
68 pts

5 traitors, flamer, agitator w/ power weapon and melta bombs

5 chaos hounds

Total = 505 pts

hmmm...... not very mobile but could work thats a lot of models for 500 points so it could work!

Traitors are very fragile, and the 5 man squads will not last very long at all. The Hounds also are very small, and need to be bolstered to be able to keep something in combat for a while (hounds poor save makes then loose to attrition well, though more often then not they will not die on the first round of combat). A larger unit will make them last that much longer, and let them kill more.

Also I may humbly suggest squeezing in a unit of Chaos Spawn. A minimum unit is very formidable in small games, and will set you back just under the cost of a 5 man traitor unit you have (which IMO will be well worth it). They Will add that much more extra 'Umpf' and are also resilient enough to take the knocks and keep on bashing.


Another thing, I don't think that having a powerfist and meltabombs is a very good buy together, you are sacrificing at least 3 attacks just so you can get 2D6 armor pen, though all the S8 Powerfist attacks will be able to do as much, or more then a single meltabomb (unless your base Strength is 3). Also since he is surrounded by 15 extra ablative wounds from the traitors Bionics is not terribly necessary, the unit will more often run away before you'll need to use that.

The points for those can add in an extra hound, or if you take out a traitor unit, 4 spawn.

Terminator Sized bases or bigger, and as long as they look big, but not big-mutant-like they should be fine. (I custom made 14 with spare bitz and hot glue).

You can buy a pack of them at GW stores for a reasonable amount, or off the Online store. By the way, what are you using as hounds?

Swap out the Spawn and some traitors for an IG Hellhound.

In 500ts? the tank will be 1/5th the cost of the army. Plus there is no spawn in the army yet. In larger points games Hellhounds are brilliant..though I may leave them out of this size.

My major gripe with this list is that big fat champion! He's over a fith of the armies points and for only one wound!! For now just give him the (standard) power fist, mark of khorne, bolt pistol, and possibly the spikey bits: You don't need much else: especially at this size. Just stick him a mobile squad.

Speaking of the squads:

What do you plan on doing with 5 imperial guardsmen with no heavy weapon? By the time they race over the board to make use of their flamers and power weapons they are going to get hung drawn and quatered. Twice. Take my word for it and drop the power weapons, flamers, and melta bombs and trade it all for a few autocannons to blaze away from the reletive safety of the woods. Keep the 15 man strong unit as it is though - though consider dropping the fist when points are tight.
