Default 1500pt Alpha Legion LATD for review

ok I am playing a game sunday and would like people opinion on this list

1 Chaos Lord: with powerweapon, Bike, Frags, Meltabombs, mutation, Strength, armour, aura=171 pts
(tags along with bikers as a torpedo Lord)

1 Arch Heretic: with Mark of choas undivided, Speed, powerweapon, strength, mutation, plasmapistol, meltabombs, frags=126
(tags along with speed mutants)

7 Chosen with bolt pistols and CCW, 1 upgraded champion with powerfist, boltpistol and frags, all have infiltrate and furious charge
=179

15 traitors (14 lasguns), flamer=123

15 traitors (14 lasguns), flamer=123

15 muties with leaping=180
(Arch heretics meatshield)

5 Chaos marines 4 bolters, 1 lascannon, infiltrate and tank hunters=105

5 Chaos marines 4 bolters, 1 lascannon, infiltrate and tank hunters=105

1 hellhound with inferno cannon and heavy bolter=115

5 traitors: agitator and flamer, They ride in a chimera with multilaser and hull heavybolter=138

4 Chaos marine bikers=136

All in all ive gone for a speed army that infiltrates
its 1504 points my opponents really good he runs a Black legion army heavy in basic CSM's and terminators with probably 2 defilers, he will favour sitting back and shooting as the game is to the death

from a recent game i played with my latd, go for some small units of hounds, they ,may have rubbish armour but if you use them to support a character [say, the biker lord] they can really help out, maybe not as much as say, a unit of big mutants, but they take too long to do anything. those defilers might just screw you over... you need obliterators. dump the chosen.

Then, looking to today, and seeing how we've improved.

Unfortunately, looking back to the things posted here, I realised I can now do much better :3

-Mmmm... Delicious Torpedo. I'd reccomend trading the Strength and Power Weapon for a Dark Blade at the same cost; but increased strength.

-What are these doing for you as chosen that a normal Squad of Chaos Marines wouldn't do cheaper? :-\ You can save yourself 21 points here by "downgrading" to a troops choice with the same wargear; and you have 1 TROOPS slot left!

-Good answer to the eternal LaTD anti-armor weakness, but consider this: Your Tank Huntes skill effectively doubles the cost of your lascannons. These points could instead be used to add a meltagun to your bikers (below), and an anti-tank weapon to one or both of your traitor squads, thus diversifying your armament. Alternatively you could use the pionts to infiltrate these for a first-turn shot on thos indirect-fire defilers.

-Contrary to popular belief, this does not count as "Traitor Recon", only Sentinels, Hellhounds, and Rough Riders do; so you don't need that second squad of traitors above to field this unit. I run a squad very similar to this one myself, and have always been happy with it's performance.

-This army should be a decent counter to what your foe is fielding.

thanks ged i did use this list and lost barely, the traitors were a waste of points, and i did fix the chosen i wasnt thinking straight, i swapped one of the lascannon squads and the chimera for 2 oblits and some more basic mutants.
Also damn i wish id thought of the darkblade, as he lacked killing power with only Str5,
Im thinking of doing A sniper rifle for the one unit of traitors i take this time, its better than a las rifle and I dont have to get close.
Thanks for the advice guys, my list will improve manyfold this time.
Also the oblits instant killed a tooled up statured daemon prince

Ok so heres my revised list

1 chaos lord; bike, darkblade, armour, aura, mutation, frags, meltabombs=171

1 Arch heretic; Mark of chaos undivided, Speed, Powerfist, aura, essence, plasmapistol, frags meltabombs=141

2 Obliterators=140

4 bikers, 1 melta =150

8 chaos marines with bolt pistols+CCW, infiltrate, Furious charge
1upgraded to Champion with plasmapistol, powerfist, mutation, frags =183

5 chaos marines (bolters), 1 lascannon, infiltrate =90

15 traitors (lasguns) 1 sniper rifle =125

30 mutants with leaping, autopistols and boss with powerfist =385
(arch heretics meatshield)

1 Hellhound (hullbolter and inferno cannon)=115

1500 on the money
an improvement or not??, is putting 30 muties in a unit with speed overkill spending??, they are led by the heretic with the mark of undivided?????

Looks nasty.

One question: why infiltrate the 5 man squad with a lascannon? If they're infiltrating you could give them several meltas/plasmas for the same cost, making them even more deadly (and more mobile).

Just my thoughts. Otherwise, it looks pretty righteous! (or.....anti-righteous >)
