buy some zombies and some orks first, start off with some mutants. then add a couple of chaos leaders. then maybe go for some guard, go for two units of 10 with a select assault and heavy weapon for back-up. maybe eventually get a leman russ or hellhound. ooh, or rough riders

or for even weirder combine zombies with a few spare marine parts. if you can find him, talk to the iron one, he used to build spawn things, he might help. he's been abit uuh, poor recently. [can't really explain]

I've made Mutants out of Guard, Mutation sprues, and bits or spiky things and wrecked Predator armour.

I've also have these Spawn with Chainswords for teeth.

Heya,

With LatD anything goes. You could go for something simple and use the WHFB Beastmen Regiments as Mutants, only a simple swap of bases are needed. Or, if you feel confident enough in your painting and converting skills you could perhaps combine an array of boxed sets.

In the end, the possibilities for LatD are endless.

I made mutants out of skaven, i just put them on 40k bases, I also have done it with beastmen, really simple mutants, I use the skaven as ones with speed sometimes, and the beatmen with strength, Although i am more of a firm believer in mutants with nothing save las/autopistols, which cost nothing.

The only time i use speed is by having say 15 muties with speed to act as a meatshield for my lord/Lieutenant with speed (It works best if your lord Has a cult mark so they are and unbreakable meatshield).
