(for the record then I DID search on the topic... but since I dont play chaos and thus actually dont know which rule or ability references to look for... then that didn't help much)

what is a siren bomb? I've heard so much about it... that it supposedly makes aiming heavy weapons at some target something impossible? meh... i dont know - but I want to know

someone enlighten me...

A "Siren Bomb" is a type of army where the chaos lord takes the mark of Slaanesh, and as many miner psychic rolls as he can on the Slaanesh miner psychic powers table to try and get the power Siren. What Siren does is that if the lord passes his psychic test then he cannot be targeted by any unit for shooting or assault. It basically makes him invincible for a turn. The person then uses the lord as a focus for summoning daemons near the enemy. It is a lot like a daemon bomb army.

Ouch. That sounds like it would be slightly painful, especially if it were to happen to an army lacking much melee power.

Now could said untargetable lord still fall victim to indirect fire scattering onto him or is this guys just unstopable?

Yes, he can be hit by a indirect fire weapon scattering onto him. Grey knights, Sisters of Battle and Black Templars that take the vow Abhor the Witch are also immune to the power and can target him. Also becouse he needs to pass a psychic test, you can use a psychic hood to negat the power, or some other wargear that affects leadership.

Another thing to note. Use of this particular maneuver is usually considered utterly abhorrant and may result in objects being thrown at anyone who tries it. Considering that these objects could end up being a very spiky metal model it is in the interest of public safety not to run a Siren Bomb.

Support GASETSMI (Gamers Against Siren Enduced Thrown Spiky Model Injuries) today! Just say no to Siren!

Does it actually stop the unit from being damageable? It says "he may not be targeted by shooting attacks or assualted". It dosen't say "he cannot be struck in close combat" or anything like that. So whilst you can't charge him, you can fight back if he charges you.

Dosen't make it an awful lot better though......

No, he may be hit at in assault.

Also: Bear in mind grey knight aegis suit (i think) and the minor psychic power immunity granted to battle sisters.

And theres always a chance if it fails.

And to echo fish eads point: if i see anyone running one of these, you shall be mauled by three daemonic elephants.

Don't worry, there isn't an entry that screams siren!!

Read the Minor Psychic power table for slaanesh on page 56 (?), just take 6 Minor psychic powers, and one of them is likely to be a six.

Now that iv'e just told you this dirty trick please to the high heavens don't use it!
