Default my emporer's children list... not sure on the legality...

ok, here we go... being used to the Tau's very straight forward Dex, im not sure if this is all legal or not, and not really sure about how the deamons are gonna play out...but here's my first crack at a list...

1,000 points
Hq
chaos Lord 176
mark of slaanesh
bolt pistol
power weapon
combat drugs
demonic flight
demonic speed

reasoning:
*i want to keep him pretty cheap, nothin over the top cheesy, but still able to go all medival on stuff when i need him to.*



Troops

12 noise marines 288
mark of slaanesh
free aspiring champ
11 sonic blasters
1 blast master

12 noise marines ( a clone of above) 288

reasoning:
a pure dakka unit, just blast anything and everything in range, supports the deamonettes by laying down some mean suppressing fire*

6 deamonettes 90

6 deamonettes 90

reasoning:
*for this low of a point game, im using deamonettes as my CC specialists, in 1,500 point i would run a lightning clawed terminator squad, love the models, and would be CC gods...*

1001 points...
i dunno if this list looks all that great to pros, but in my head, i see a firebase made up of the oblit, and marines, withering down units as the Lord and deamonettes clean up...
anything that needs to be pointed out, or changed, please do, as for this is my firstarmy besides Tau, and im a lil bewildered...


***ok... now the oblits are out... so i got 75 points left to spend... any suggestions?

I am an not a chaos expert but I am 99% sure that you cannot take Daemonic Flight and Daemonic Speed on the same Lord.

Other than that, I do not really feel qualified to comment. Good luck with your new army.

-We can actually make him cheaper and make him even more deadly. Now Mattyfoe is correct, flight and speed are incompatible; however Speed works just fine all by itself. (abnd can still be represented by wings if thats important) Your points seem off too, is there something that you didn't post? At S4, he also lacks the punch that you'll need to crush the enemy. Here would be my reccomendation along the same lines:

-If it were me I'd break this into 4 squads of 6, rather than 2 squads of 12. Unlike the Tau, you need not fear falling back under fire. (You Worship Slannesh Now, and in his sight: Thou Shalt Know Even Less Fear than the Space Marines! - Sorry, i love the Role Playing aspect of this game too! :P ) This not only gives you more angles of attack, and extra deployment options; but then you can also look your opponent in the eye and say with pride, "I have 6 troops choices!" You also have the option to sneak in another couple of Blast Masters with the points saved on your lord.

-Yes: Give at least two of your Noise Marine Squads Infiltrate, and the other two Tank Hunters vet skills. Sonic Blasters count as S5 vs vehicles if fired while standing still; and your Blast Masters become Lascannons. The Ability to infiltrate two squads will give your opponent Heart Palpitations, as you can either use this to deploy last and take advantage of mistakes in his deployment; and allows you to take forward positions when it's important.

if it were me i would have as much cc as i can and hace a havco squad with heavy bolters i like the demons but you need a icon of some kind
mabey some possessed but at the end of the day its up to you

Abbadon,

He get's a free icon with every marked squad. Emperor's Children play a little different from what you're used to. Sonic Blasters are storm bolters that get an extra shot if you hold still; and the blast master is a S8 blast when still, or a 2 shot pinning heavy bolter on the move. They generate a stupid amount of firepower, and make excellent shooty armies. The Daemonettes are purely for counterassault.

lol, i love the idea, pure infantry mayhem... yum
(i dont know if ive told you yet, but i have a deep burning passionate love for infantry...)
the only tanks i really like are the defiler (i LOVE that model... cant wait to get one...) and dreadnaught (not really a tank... but you know what i mean...)
and if im reading this correctly, doom siren is like a super duper choas flamer right?
and also, im 75 points short, and if i minus another 20 when i update my lord, thats a whole whopping 95 points not doing anything...
if i give all my squads a vet skill, and blast masters, i still think ill have a butt load of points left over...
what should i put it into?
my lord? or a new unit?

The reccomended Vet Skills and 2 Blast Masters comes to about 92p. I think you're done...

well, i guess ill look it up in the Dex next time before i say anything...

I know this is an old thread, but I don't want to start a new thread just for one sentence.
I would consider giving a few of the "tactical" marines bolters instead of sonic blasters. Why? Because they're a bit cheaper in points, and you would have something to take off the board without too much regret when the unit takes casualties.
