HI

I am an ork player right now, but have been thinking about my next army, and chaos
is my first choice. But, a bunch of people say that chaos are "cheezy". Is this true? And what about the LaTD? Are they unfair, or underpowered, or good? they really interest me.

Any army can be overpowered; Chaos simply has some pervercations like Iron Warriors and SirenBombing that are not merely beardable, but rarely played in an un-beardy way.

As long as you set out to make a balanced army, Chaos and LatD are no worse than any other army; getting used to the ridicanicalously large Armoury, the varient lists, and Daemon rules can be a challenge but once you get the hand of it you'll find that you can have an immense amount of effectiveness, flexibility, and fun with the damned traitors and followers of the False Gods.

Some might think mechanised Tau are cheesy, One thing i dont like is defilers ordanance is a guard thing giving a super elite army pie plates is just plain unfair, I play both CSM and Guard

I think it depends on how you play the army.

Slannesh and IW can be beardy, but they an also be a themed army witout smelling of wensleydale.

Tzeentch for example, is considerd underpowerd but you can get some horrific units in your army (but i'm making sure that the total points cost for each individual unit in my army is a multiple of 9. it is giving me such a headache, and anyone who dares say that my army is beardy or cheesy will end up resembling a chaos spawn when i'm throught with them )

This is a war game.
If you have people saying anything in this war game is `cheese' then politely show them the lego aisle.

Every codex has units which are powerful, and units which are less powerful.
How you build your list reflects your hunger to kill.
If they can't handle it. Ask them why they're playing this war game.

Lost and the Damned can be underpowered in unexperienced hands. But the Lost and the Damned can rival insanity in good hands. It all comes down to you, and what you want to do with them. There's a difference between what folk do, and what is possible. It is perfectly fine to play the Damned.

Ya, I think I am going to go with the LaTD, I mean i like the normal marines, but the idea of rebel ig are just so much cooler ;D. Oh, and what does beardy mean?

"Beardy" and "cheesy" are different terms for basically the same thing.

Beardy means Cheesy. The two terms are interchangable .

Are you thinking of choosing any particular god or are you going Chaos Undecided?

if your gonna go for LatD then check out the new rebel militia on forgeworld, they also have chaos ogryns as well that would be perfect for big mutants in your LatD army. Really fancy doing a LatD army myself for the sole purpose of using those minis.
