This question has been bugging me a bit, mainly because of lack of GS skill's.

How would you represent daemonic gifts, such as speed etc.

If this has been answered before i apologise.

Heya,

You can represent things in many ways as you can imagine. See the HQ [PICS] thread for examples in fact. Here's a few ideas:

Daemonic Mutation - A tentacle added. Simple and lovely. You don't have to actually model this even.
Daemonic Visage - Finished. No mod neccessary. They all look nasty :P Add spikes... add skulls.. etc.
Daemonic Flight - Wings! Well, a jump pack works, but wings are more daemonic looking.
Daemonic Speed - Slithering! Moving like snakes/tail. Cavalry body (hose body). Lots of models for conversion.
Daemonic Strength - Big shoulders? Don't know really. It's not something you really `show.' They're already buff.

Anyhow, some things don't have to be shown. Some do (a weapon for example). So try to find easy ways if you're not into big time converting

Cheers,

mutation- add claws, extra limbs, extra tentacle, tyranid bits work well here
speed- Floating, animal like legs, wings, etc.
venom- paint weapons and/or claws green
talons- tyranid bits
strength- um... bigger arms i suppose. i suspect orks may have something in this area

hope that helps

it really depends on your legion, your fluff and your imagination. That is what makes chaos cool

for instance
I play Iron warriors

for my Chaos Lt he has Deamonic Mutation for this I put a bionic power claw as his arm that I got from an old Necromunda pit slave model. Simple and it looks cool

Just go through your bits and start going at it

Some of the more obscure ones:

Daemonic Rune: A large rune modelled onto the chest plate, or above the back pack
Daemonic Armour: Use a ornate model to model the guy
Daemonic Fire: Put a flamer on the guy's mask, or get some flames from somewhere etc

daemonic aura, if your a good painter, you could have the patches of skin painted with objective lighting.

talons, nid claws

speed, do what i did, add a horse body [i used the skeleton one from the undead knights]

fire, easy, have a hand with a little burst of fire, just use a tuft of hair for the fire then paint in blues and purples for daemonic fire.

armour, as said by FT, make it look really ornate.

i don't think the steed should be too hard.*

venom you could just model a drip on the tip of a blade.

rune as stated, the shoulderpad would be better though

visage, add a screaming head. model skulls onto every surface of the model.

ok, thought of another one

Demonic Aura- glue cotton onto various parts of the model to look like smoke. it gives him an insubstantial look

that would look like he'd been attacked by a flamer.
