Default Night Lord kill team help!!!!!

Okay it looks like im going to be starting a Nightlords army (consisting of 40 odd Raptors as my plastic conversions are going well). My problem is I dont really know alot about kill teams and want some help in making a possible fav unit out of a kill team so any suggestions?

LeeStar,

Nightlords and a Kill-Team no less? Nothing Fluffier! 8) OK, basically what you are putting together is a 160 point army as a single combat squad. You can mix and match different unit types to create a greater whole. Each time you "violate" the rules of Kill Team, you give your opponent mre points to spend on his brutes. (For details, see the Kill Team entry in the Big Black Book)

Example Chaos Kill Team that breaks no Rules:
This team is 158 points.
Quote:
Aspiring Champion (CSM, AC, Power Sword, MoCu, Free Bolt Pistol) - 38
Flamer Marine (CSM, MoCu, Flamer) - 20
Plasma Marine (CSM, MoCu, Plasma Pistol & CCW) - 25
5 x Chaos Assault Marines (CSM, MoCu, Bolt Pistol & CCW) - 75
The we add a Skill, which is bought on top of the Squads base points cap: Backstabbers - If you assault an enemy squad and all are killed, you have less of chance to alert the enemy.
Total Cost = 163 points, has 8 members, and gives your opponent 5 points towards his force (For the Skill) because this is a fully legal squad that breaks no rules. The advantage here is that your opponent cannot use much in the way of special gear for his brutes, while you have an effective squad. You could drop 1 Marine from this squad you can opt to give all squad members Stealth Adept, and upgrade to a powerfist for your AC.

You can also opt to break the rules and include several squad types. Here is my Wife's Emperor's Children Kill Team:
Example 2, a Kill Team that breaks multiple rules:
160 Points Even!
Quote:
Aspiring Champion: (CSM, AC, MoSl, Doom Siren, Power Axe, Daemonic Strength, Free Bolt Pistol) - 57
Doom Siren Marine x 2 (CSM, MoSl, Doom Siren, Bolt Pistol & Chain Sword) - 58
Daemonettes x 3 (Daemonette) - 45
Skill: Camoflage - Allows her squad to fade away and reduce klaxon counters by hiding.
Total Cost is 170 with Skill; This squad breaks 2 immutable rules and 2 mutable rules. My Lady's opponent gets 6 extra brute squads, and 70 extra points to use on their brutes! Her opponent is going to need all the help that they can get against 3 flame templates, and rending/power weapon badness; on top of the fact that the squad can hit and fade... :sadnshocked:

I hope that helps,
Ged

Though remember, you can only break Immutable rules if your opponent says so and it is a one off game.

Oher than that it is a fairly relaxed set of rules and you can do almost anything in it.

Cheers lol didnt really think of it being a mark
Wonder changing something for the infiltration skill
LeeStar,

Due to the nature of the Kill Team rules, infiltrate is redundant. Check out the Big Black Book at your local hobby center before commiting to anything. As to the modeling aspect, kill-teams are excellent for making a small number of ultra-detailed models.

LeeStar,

Only if you like converting wings onto normal SM helmets. The kill-team rules are not in the mini rulebook.

Kill team has some rules which are immutable (you need opponent permission to break them, and never for campaigns; e.g. no Psykers or 2+ saves), and some which are mutable (you can break them, yet your opponent gets points (e.g. your kill team is only one squad's worth, and can only be from the same unit selection)...After spending 160 points equipping your squad of daring commandos, you can then buy specialist equipment, from silencers to grappeling equipment to expert camo. Each time you do this, your opponent gets an equivalent number of points to spend on defensive gear, from laser tripwires to extra sentries, or to spend on a Boss character.

It's a fun system to say the least.
