Ok well i get straight into the point. I am qute new to 40K only made one 1000p eldar list, and now have started to collect Chaos. I have the codex and have got a Amry for a friend who has just keeped them in a box for 2 years and not even built them. So i have the following that i could inclue and will buy more as well.
Chaos Space Marine Lord
Chaos Space Terminator Lord
Chaos Space Marine Sorcerer
Chaos Terminators
Chaos Space Marines Obliterators X 2
Chaos Space Marines Squad 6 models x 4 for total of 24 models
Chaos Space Marine Rhino
Chaos Space Marines Raptors 5 models
Chaos Space Marine Bike Squad 3 models
Chaos Space Marine Predator

I am planning on making a 1500pt list which i would like to inclue the following already (also i play SM and Nercon alot as well as WHs)


Chaos lord(pts) with Mark of Khorne (pts)and Daemonic essence, mutation, resiliences
and strength=(pts) With terinator armor(pts)and combi bolter(pts) lightning claw
(pts) and Furious charge(pts) and Talisman of krorne
Grand total= 198Pts

And 4 squads of 6 maines 2 of which have a lascannon and melta gun and the other two with heavry bolter and plasma gun. With no marks as of yet of other options.

So as you can see i still need alot of advise in what to take in my Black Legion amry so i have a better choice of what to inclue. I would like to hear any comments. Thanks.

This is a very general question. I'd advise that you put together an army list at the specified point value, and post it for comment, that way we can help you modify your own vision of the army. Everyone on this board is goign to have a different opinion of how to deploy the models you have available. Just start with the basics: 1HQ and 2Troops choices; and go from there.
Two things though: 1) That tooled up lord is going to cost you. The most tooled up character in my own army only comes to 170p, and we only deploy her in games above 1500p. I'll need to get home to my codex before I can analyze your Lord properly myself, for now it would behoove you to carefully consider what hisn purpose in life is, and how he will help you win your battles. 2) Weapons combos: The lascannons and Plasma Guns go best together, longer range and all. The meltaguns work best as a pair, especially when transported or infiltrated. not sure about the heavy-bolters.
